ruiz was not in punching range for significant portions of the fight.

that is his style. he does not launch attacks often but when he does, there is power on his shots and he can throw in combination

he did start to lead with straight rights to the body

but the other times he landed were counters went Joshua attacked

the body shots in the 6th really got to aj and were key in taking Joshua's legs away. that is why Joshua went for the leaping left hook in the 7th , he knew he had little left in the gas tank and went for the ko

Holyfield is right and I couldn't have agreed with him more. This rematch is too soon. AJ needs more time to develop and correct his mistakes. Andy Ruiz exposed him as a limited fighter. He is not as complete of a fighter as we thought.

Moreover, he needs to get his confidence back but most of all, he needs time to rest in order to recover and heal from that knockout loss. So he can comeback more focused and hungrier than ever.

Vander is doing what he supposed to do support a American but deep down he knows Ruiz is going to lose the rematch

You have noticed that too, huh?

I seem to be on a lonely, lonely island. Now do not get me wrong, I feel Ruiz has earned the right to be the favorite. He won that fight going away, and he had an answer for everything Joshua threw at him. It is now totally on Joshua to prove he is the champion everyone said he was.

I just feel he wins. I think Joshua answers the call and gets his belts back. Just a feeling.

I dont think so but you would know. Is he on your LDBC roll call list? Or are you going to be like Phenom and pretend you dont know what it is even though your part of it?

He was not in the pocket

He has faster feet than aj imo

So he would wait for aj to attack so he could counter

If you look at aj he would fall over his feet when he would try and close the distance . I think his legs are gone. They say the legs are the first thing to go in a fighter. Aj has been steadily declining since the wlad fight. Allegedly he has used peds in the past according to miller and whyte. Peds can age you quicker if im not mistaken

I think same happens in rematch

Ruiz can take a shot better

Aj started his attacks from too far out in the first fight. When he punched up close in the third round he scored a knockdown. Handspeed between the two is very similar

Aj's style is less raw than it once was. He is being taught to think or being taught to think so things come naturally in the fight but he has mot had enough time to engrain concepts he has learnt in training into his subconcious. When you think, you are not gonna be as quick.

I think both start cagey. Around the 4th round mark ruiz starts to land body shots on an unrelaxed aj. Around round 8 he stops a tired aj.

For a guy to be out of range, he would have to be retreating OR the opponent must be retreating OR dude must be pulling some razzle dazzle move....Andy doesn't razzle or dazzle.

                  I don't recall Andy retreating.

AJ was not right in the head that night. It won't happen again.

So I’m American, part of the LDBC. What else? You’re just full of useful information about me, please continue, I’m all ears.

We’re still running with this? How was he not right? He looked the exact same as he did in the opening rounds against Povetkin.
