Yes, a month ago the IBF gave Canelo 30 days to request an exemption. He did not make any requests. Thats why they are calling the mando.......

The IBF doesnt play games. Like it or not, they follow their rules, even when it costs them money.

Canelo should fulfill his mando. No need to see the belts split up.

I can't imagine Derevyanchenko's purse will be too high, which should satisfy Golden Boy.

For some reason I don't see the IBF walking away of the sanctioning fees they will get when Canelo has the strap.

They will come out with some other funky rule. At least they have given another option for Canelo.

Time to look at the fine print on the Canelo/DAZN contract. Another guy who should look at the fine print on his contract with DAZN is Demetrius Andrade. How in the world can DAZN say that they will not carry a Canelo vs Andrade fight when both are under contract with DAZN, but will approve a fight with Kovalev who is not under contract with Andrade. I don't see Eddie Hearn, Andrade's promoter, raising a stink about this.

They do have a better record than the other sanctioning bodies when it comes to enforcing the mando.

Let see if greed or principal prevails.

so if GGG vs Canelo 3 happens, Sergey fight a random with 4 KOs for the vacant belt?

He fights him with no broadcast coverage and doesn't get paid from DZAN or any other broadcaster. So the fight is off the cards.
