If you go by the Golovkin precedent, than the IBF has no choice but to strip Alvarez. That said, this is pro boxing, nothing is guaranteed and anything is possible.

Canelo can easily avoid the strip by fighting Andrade. Unifications Trump mandatories. All he has to do is apply for an exemption and it will be approved if he is unifying.

If he gets stripped because of this then it proves two things.


1) His statement that he wants to unify was total BS.

2) He ducking Andrade.

The Andrade fights should be the only one for Canelo next. Especially after this BS. Get those titles then drop them all save the HUGE $$$$$)

Because from what its looking like DAZN screwed up in not specifying what type of fights is required to fulfill his contract. In reality Canelo can cruise his way with easy fights for the next few years and get paid.

but Jacobs just beat Derevy, and Golovkin is better than Derevy

and they do not rank Andrade, Charlo, Brant, Lemieux, etc
