IBF don't give a **** about that, if they did they wouldn't have stripped Golovkin just before Canelo-Golovkin 2.

Canelo just fought Jacobs, Golovkin fought Rolls and said he won't fight any of the other contenders. Who's the one choosing easy fights?

If he gets stripped because of this then it proves two things.

      1) His statement that he wants to unify was total BS.

      2) He ducking Andrade.

      EXACTLY

      but guess what

DAZN will not approve Andrade LMAO

kingnelo should demand Andrade, or claim breach of contract and walk

Andrade would then be quickly..... " approved " ..... by DAZN

          exactly

          grab that missing belt

          fk Golovkin and Kovalev

one of those guys does not deserve it, and the other guy is a fight from left-field that nobody wanted

nobody ever mentioned Canelo fighting Kovalev until they made him an offer..... I never heard anyone mention that fight once

it would have been unrealistic, and a little laughable

how could a matchup that nobody wanted..... be more important than divisional supremacy?

but imo, Canelo also needs to fight Charlo before moving up

especially after that WBC Franchise ***wittery

Andrade > Charlo..... then 160 is done and dusted

then either fight Golovkin, or move up for Smith/Kovalev

          it seems obvious

Andrade/Charlo are the only fights I want..... because they are the only 2 belt-holders at 160, and they are the only real threats

Although a lot of fans will be satisfied at hearing this news, the recent past shows that the IBF is making it incredibly difficult for unified or undisputed champions to hang on to their belt for very long.

Just like the WBA and WBC have multiple titles in a single weight class, the IBF in the last couple of years has been overly strict in vacating not just title holders, but if you check the IBF ratings, almost every first AND second rated contenders in EVERY weight class is vacant.

This is how the IBF (IMO) is squeezing more money out of promoters for sanctioning fees. It can also order more attractive fights by stripping inactive fighters and thus it looks as though they are doing the right thing but it's just virtue signalling.

Most fans will remember Terence Crawford v Indongo for the undisputed 140 - pound championship; barely two weeks had passed and the IBF was threatening to strip Crawford if he did not fight their mandatory.

As mentioned in the article, they did a similar thing to Golovkin, and are operating randomly with other fighters, depending on whether they pay sanctioning fees, as some promoters, fighters/teams will refuse what they view as excessive demands by the IBF.

The WBO and IBO (again IMO) are probably going to eventually start playing catch -up as it is a highly competitive business model.

If you still think the IBF is an upstanding organisation, remember it did away with same-day weigh-ins as a compulsory requirement to fight for its title not long after the Golovkin v Jacobs fight, as Jacobs forfeited his right to claim the title by skipping the weigh-in and thus the fees.

I would look forward to a GGG v Derevyanchenko fight, but I get the feeling Golovkin is still too hot for Canelo and will be pushing his new promoter to get that third fight ASAP as long as it's outside Vegas.

                      The plot thickens!
