Gibbons had reacted to an outcry from fans regarding the lack of VADA involvement. He told WBN on Tuesday: “Nevada State Athletic Commission is using VADA style testing for Manny Pacquiao’s fight with Keith Thurman.

“It should also be noted that Senator Pacquiao is enrolled in the World Boxing Council / Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) 365 24/7 program,” he added.

The author also never mentioned that the WBA has announced that they are going to be giving VADA style random drug tests to both fighters with a different drug testing agency (PEDTO) so basically in essence Pacquaio is going to be tested randomly twice along with the NSAC pre fight and post fight routine tests.

Bennett, updating from Las Vegas later on Tuesday, said both fighters would be monitored.

“As you know, the PEDTO conduct random testing for the promoters. Also, a few Commissions to include the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC),” Bennett exclusively told World Boxing News.
Stop deceiving people with that 24/7 356 CBP program. Yes, this is testing but in practice only exist on paper. It doesn't matter if you're signed to 356/24/7, what matters is how many times has someone been tested (how many samples were taken). And 24/7/356 is testing that is based on a lottery of who's gonna get tested. There are fighters who have been signed to 24/7/356 for years but never tested except on fight night.

There's a difference between a) 24/7/356 VADA testing and b) stringent contractual VADA testing (fighters pay for it) during the whole camp (or whenever they agree for testing to start) and fight day. In this testing, they may take one sample today and the next day more samples.

In short, 24/7/356 is more or less only testing on paper but in reality, there's almost no testing (lottery). But stringent contractual VADA testing during the camp and on fight night is whole another ball game. Why do u think there are no people who have been caught under 24/7/356 VADA testing, but multiple people who have been caught under contractual VADA testing?

Oh, and stop calling him "Senator". His right title is Duterte's puppet.

VADA just posted an announcement on their website that Manny Pacquaio was just tested last week, his 4th under the VADA 24/7 CBP program.

I would have posted the site but boxingscene won't allow me to post urls until I have made 15 posts apparently.

          This is what it said:

"Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao for successfully completing VADA for the 4th time."

BTW I wasn't calling him Senator. That was a direct quote from his manager Sean Gibbons from the article that I copy pasted.

The WBA also announced that they contracted with PEDTO to do a VADA style random drug test for both fighters that is different from the VADA test Manny just took .

I tell you, No testing or less testing favors Thurman very very well. This is why Keith is oozing with confidence that come July 20 he will KTFO and annihilate Manny.
This must be where the eyes should be pointed at.

How the hell are you gonna attempt to juice up when anytime someone's gonna knock your door, test you, get busted if you did something wrong? Of course, none will be caught most likely when you're enrolled to 24/7 and 365. Only dumb and naive people will attempt to juice while being enrolled in that. Are you even listening to yourself while posting this?

Let's just say nobody came in to test you in 1 year, the fear of getting caught and busted is still there. So why the hell would you attempt to juice given the circumstance?

NADA is the preferred randomized testing program for this bout.

Tell that to Lance Armstrong, Big Baby...

"When someone knocks your door", what to do? Maybe hide in the basement when somebody finally knocks your door, with phones turned off during the contaminated days, pretend you're not at home and pay a non-existent financial penalty. That's exactly what Charlos did.

By your "logic", nobody would be breaking any laws cuz there's always a chance they might catch you. But we all know that's not the case. btw, love your naivety.

It's heartening to read a boxing article that really attempts to strike at the very essence of part of the corrupt edifice that is boxing administration.

I applaud Tris Dixon for having the courage to speak out, it's noble but we all know ultimately futile.

Just when you think boxing can't lower it's standards any further - it does.

I suppose I'm a die-hard romantic (not an optimist - they're just plain eerie) which means deep down I dream of one day witnessing the sport unified under a single sanctioning body, with just one title per weight division, and the best fighting the best.

You could say I'm a fool. That's fine because the reality is most of us who shell out money in some form or another to watch 'main events', which are clearly mismatches are somewhat foolish too.

Until the fans, scribes, pundits and officials all join together and say enough is enough instead of each party simply protecting and benefiting from their own little patch nothing will really change.

                      And it's clearly getting worse.
