  • Comments Thread For: Fury Announces He Has Signed For Wilder Rematch February 22

Tyson Fury declared Sunday that his rematch with Deontay Wilder is now confirmed and signed.' The 30-year-old lineal heavyweight champion, who fought to a draw with Wilder last December 1, agreed to a deal to fight the WBC champion again February 22. England's Fury opted out of an immediate rematch to sign a co-promotional agreement with Top Rank and ESPN and was last in the ring June 15, when he stopped previously undefeated German Tom Schwarz inside two rounds at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Wilder doesn’t have an easy fight against Ortiz. And if he wins, all Fury needs to do is train and strategize to take away the right hand of Wilder. I heard guys in their prime like Hopkins, Floyd, and Ward say they focused on taking away their opponents biggest strength in training and it made their fights much easier inside the ring. Unless Wilder improves his boxing skills dramatically in his next fight against Ortiz, I see Fury winning by decision in the rematch. Fury can out box Wilder so he just needs to neutralize and stay away from his right hand. Study the keys and body language when Wilder starts to load up for the big shot and Fury should be fine. Easier said then done-LOL!

Can't wait to hear from all of those that were begging their deities that Wilder was lying a couple months ago.

On a related note, let's get Thurman-Pacquiao and Spence-Porter out of the way so the winners can fight each other ASAP. No excuses not to make the Crawford fight right after.

Wilder loses a UD, a third match is setup to keep Wilder away from AJ who will destroy Ruiz in the rematch.

Truth is, Fury is lying. Fury/ESPN heard Wilder say earlier this week that after Luis Ortiz, he's free to unify with Andy Ruiz. If that happens, Furys next 2 fights will be Vs bums and have zero buzz. That would make 3 straight unsuccessful fury events which hurt him at the negotiation table. Add in the fact that wilder would be unifying for undisputed Vs Ruiz. If wilder were to become undisputed while at the same time Fury and ESPN are failing to generate buzz/views wilder becomes a overwhelming massive A-side to Fury/espn. ESPN would be insanely pissed at arum for making them invest in a superfight that doesn't reward them enough financially.
