TRY to put your love/hate for the guy aside for a sec. Assuming they did the normal they did the normal thing and gave themselves the ability to get out of the contract, would you back out of the Canelo deal if you were working at DAZN and trying to get to profitable?

DAZN overpaid Canelo because they wanted to fast-track their way into the streaming biz. There's a lot of speculation that the Jacobs event failed to bring in major subs, and now the guy doesn't want to fight GG (which was why they brought GG onboard) and there's talks about guys like Munguia. DAZN can't be happy.

I don't have a real opinion as I don't know enough about their metrics. Curious to hear what people here would do though.

Canelo is DAZN's biggest star. Canelo is the biggest star in boxing. No, I would not get rid of Canelo.

Skipper would fire you on the spot if you worked for him and he got wind of what you said!

No way in Hell since DAZN's most viewed fights have been Canelo vs Jacobs & Canelo vs Fielding.

Dazn would be better off cutting boxing and going after other less costly us fringe sports

Don't know how they expected Canelo to fight GGG when they brought him onboard since GGG signed with DAZN months later.

DAZN is heading to Mexico within the next couple of years, DAZN isnt just a US App, south and central america are also targets... by the way no doubt munguia is a mismatch but that fight could move the needle big time, mexicans and mexican-americans know who the kid is, most know it is a mismatch but will still tune in for that fight, like they did for the chavez fight so i highly doubt dazn has a problem with that fight, in fact expect dazn to push for that fight instead of andrade, i hope not... dazn is a baby in the us, i highly doubt they are expecting big time numbers so soon, if this was showtime or hbo then it will be a different story...

John Skipper used to smoke crack though.
