#1, Canelo DOES NOT NEED GGG, at all, he can go on pulling down $30 million dollars and change a fight, GGG's biggest bargaining chip was PPV revenue, that's gone now.

#2, GGG has changed, he is saying things, and acting in such a way, that it's turning people off, but his biggest mistake was calling Canelo a cheater non stop, that was unneeded, he could have fell back, expressed some disappointment, etc, but he went beyond that, he took it to another level, on top of that, he walked out of the ring as opposed to be accountable to Canelo and the fans, that implies he has weak character, another thing Canelo must be fuming about. GGG talked about belts, all he cares about is belts, but when he had a chance to earn one before a 3rd canelo fight, he fought a bum, he tried to skate to a 3rd fight, that certainly must have upset Canelo who has won 2 belts since the second fight. GGG also behaves like he is the A side, like he can determine the venue, and other specifics, he still isn't giving Canelo his respect. Canelo meanwhile KNOWS he is GGG's meal ticket, and is going to refuse to let him eat out of spite.

#3, It's not Canelos fault that DAZN gave him that ludicrous contract, they offered it to him, he signed it, and he is getting every bit of that money, if they can't understand that GGG talked himself out of a 3rd fight, fine, Canelo can get a big fat buyout, and sign with another network for similar money. Canelo is the golden goose, he will lay eggs wherever he goes, PBC, ESPN, they will pay top dollar for Canelo. There was a fantastic article on the feed today confirming what I have been saying for weeks. Canelo has them over a barrel right now, GGG meanwhile is 37, does not want to fight anyone that is halfway dangerous, and refuses to move up in weight despite claiming for years he would do so. GGG is a financial liability to DAZN without Canelo, and GB knows it. It would make sense to buyout GGG, he is way less valuable than Canelo.

    4. AJ got KTFO, Canelo is the undisputed king of the network, and also a superior fighter to AJ, a far greater commodity in America, they can't lose him

Good stuff, but stick to the BASICS! If GGG was the savior of DAZN I would've promoted the third fight with all my hundreds of threads about DAZN.

So let's stick to the logical approach...

1.) Canelo's contract with DAZN predates GGG.
2.) Sure perhaps Oscar told DAZN he could TRY making the Trilogy, but let's be realistic, Oscar is an O.G., been in the game, knows what it is to call A side shots. Oscar knew that GBP and its fighters were going to get a sweet deal regardless by also providing Alvarez. Point is Oscar was trolling to Skipper.
3.) However, Skipper and execs aren't ******. Their preplanning to sign Canelo was without GGG. Of course adding a GGG fight would add flavor, but FFS Canelo is a proven BOXING STAR, he is a commodity for any upcoming fights.
4.)Therefore, DAZN also knows the risk in GGG. GGG could've disappeared from boxing all together, or could have an injury like a Paul Williams...point is, Canelo's deal didnt't have a GGG expectation.
5.) GGG Promotions and 360 are a joint with Loeffler providing logistics and mgmt for anything GGG related in the future. The $100mil was to just bet on GGG's name along with good fights in his contract aside from Canelo. Again, I doubt Canelo and GGG were even in their contracts. It would be ****** and amateur business to even add their names in contracts.
6.) DAZN USA will still do good numbers. The best is yet to come.

To make money majority of those fights HAVE TO BE against top tier opponents, you think DAZN won't have a competition clause in that, which allows to void it if they don't get equitable compensation via quality fights per event?
DAZN should have considered the financial drawbacks of the contract before offering it, the problems they incur as a result of the agreement are not Canelo's problem.

This is why the Netflix model will not work in boxing, PPV revenue tips the scales more often than not, if Canelo thought he could make $70 million fighting GGG, this might be a different story right now.
