DAZN needs Canelo far more than Canelo Needs DAZN! He can easily go back to PPV and still make his money if he doesn't like his situation with DAZN

However, Canelo signed up for this so he has to respect their Wishes. They didn't give him all that money as some sort of Charity, they have every right to have input on who they want him to fight considering the amount of money they're paying him

If true, good for Canelo. I thought he lost the first fight, but he won the second fight fair and square. GGG should go win the WBO or WBC belt before a rematch.

FACTS.... Canelo stans don't see this. At first I thought that Canelo had the ultimate choice but after some research I found that the final say is in DAZN's control, if they keep turning down the fight offers Canelo will get taken to court.

            Doubt that.

Canelo isnt gonna bag 30million plus to fight guys with no name recognition. You guys continue to forget that Canelos biggest payday is STILL GGG. Quit lying to yourselves. Anyone else will pull in nothing remotely close to what that fight has to offer and Canelo isnt even considering it which is HILARIOUS.
You clearly have issues reading, Canelo makes $30 million no matter who he fights, it's his minimum purse.

except we will never know because GGG ducked the fight, he could have had Andrade out the gate, and specifically turned the fight down.

So much for being a warrior....you can't call yourself the big drama show and duck title fights in your own division, it just does not work.

Everybody is the correct guess, PBC or ESPN would pay market value tomorrow if they had the chance.

It's now about how much you pay Canelo, it's about how much he can generate with a PPV model in place, which both PBC and ESPN have.

                    1. He can go anywhere if they decide to get rid of him

2.They can't keep him and shelf him because they lose money

In order to keep Canelo along with all of the subscribers he brings, they need him fighting on their platform. It doesn't matter who he fights, he is the biggest star in boxing so the ratings will be there. Also, it's not like he's choosing to fight guys who aren't better then GGG or lack star power. Smith, Kovalev, and Andrade are probably all better then GGG. All of those fights would be must-watch TV. Munguia isn't better or truly competitive for Canelo but he has star power and it would be a mexican showdown which will make for big ratings regardless.

He is the shot caller, whatever he says goes. He never turned down the GGG fight, he said GGG needs to go fight a top guy and grab a belt before he fights him. DAZN needs to go make GGG fight Andrade and if he loses, work his way back into a Canelo fight. He's got multiple fights in his contract to do so if necessary.

Until they actually made public what he signed this is all conjecture. 11 fights in 5 years (32.7 million per fight) ... aka 2 fights a year. Do you really think with kind of purse they will get the fighter the final say? They may give him the ability to veto fights but to have final say? LOLOLOL no way.

To make money majority of those fights HAVE TO BE against top tier opponents, you think DAZN won't have a competition clause in that, which allows to void it if they don't get equitable compensation via quality fights per event?
