most of the top 6-7 would be very good opponents, but Golovkin is not willing to fight them..... it is clearly obvious that he does not intend to take any kind of risk before facing Canelo, and will most likely retire immediately following the trilogy fight

boxing is all about divisional supremacy..... so if Golovkin is not willing to participate in divisional supremacy, so is therefore largely irrelevant to the middleweight division..... then the WBO champ Andrade is definitely more deserving, no question
Andrade is willing to fight anyone. Really? He’s been a pro for over a decade and his best opponent is Vanes Martirosyan.

GGG on the other hand has fought Canelo twice and Danny Jacobs within his last five fights.

It’s clear who’s more deserving and it’s not Andrade.

In response to your first post, I’m not questioning Team Canelo’s decision BUSINESS wise. GGG needs Canelo more than Canelo needs him, whilst time on Canelo’s side as opposed to GGG who is racing against the clock. However, BOXING wise, Canelo-GGG 3 remains the best fight to be made in the MW division.

Munguia I agree with you but Andrade although not as accomplished as ggg is basically the next guy in line coupled with the fact that he’s In his prime former Olympian and an undefeated champ No one should bash canelo for picking him next.

don't underestimate the " Canelo does not like him " part

when Canelo was desperate for that fight, to redeem himself following the positive VADA results..... Golovkin angled him for an undeserved 45%..... NOW, Golovkin wants the fight moved from vegas

G fcuked himself, here is why

FACT: it is clearly obvious to every adult human-being on the planet, that Golovkin will not take any kind of risk before he banks another Canelo payday..... so, Team Canelo have got Golovkin exactly where they want him

by deferring the fight, Golovkin will become more and more desperate..... if Team Canelo delay that fight for another year, what 2 opponents will Golovkin select in the meantime?..... Andrade and Charlo?, or Steve Rolls little sister and Vanes 12yo cousin?

they will not be paying Golovkin 45% next time, or anything even close..... because he is desperate and has nothing to bring to the table, having refused championship fights with Andrade and Charlo

Canelo knows that he beat Golovkin in the rematch, despite what anyone else says..... and Canelo told Golovkin to win a title if he wants a trilogy fight..... so I do not think that fight is anywhere near as important to Canelo, as it is important to Golovkin.....

so, IF they fight again..... Canelo will not be giving any handouts, and he will want to finish this once and for all..... so waiting for Gennady's legs to grow a year older and waiting for his stock to fall following what will almost certainly be underwhelming opponent selection..... probably appears to be their best option

Golovkin could have fought Charlo or Andrade, both of those fights would land him a rerun with Canelo..... but they said those fights made "no sense"..... which is insane
You’re mocking Vanes as an opponent for GGG yet Vanes is Andrade’s best win and you claim Andrade will fight anyone.

How do you work that one out?

I’m afraid it makes you sound like a delusional hypocrite...

I wouldn’t bash Canelo at all. Andrade is a very good fighter. I’d strongly suggest the winner of a potential Canelo-GGG 3 fight unified with Andrade in their next fight.

I’m just exposing the hypocrisy of people trying to suggest GGG has to earn or doesn’t deserve to fight Canelo in September, yet they are saying Andrade does.

Canelo could vacate every belt he has and he’d still be recognised as the #1 in the division and true lineal champion.
Yes you make great valid points!
I totally agree with you that the belts these days are a joke and irrelevant.
I put no weight on them but most people do so that's why I said Canelo should fight Andrade for the undisputed championship.
But if we're gonna go just on skills and popularity then yes, Canelo should fight Triple g to prove who's the best..

I just don’t understand why team Canelo are negotiating every other option apart from GGG. Over the past few days there have been reports of offers to or negotiations with Kovalev, Munguia and now Andrade. Whilst there’s been little attempt to re-negotiate with GGG after original negotiations reportedly soured over venue options. Canelo-GGG III is the biggest fight for either. It’s what GGG wants, it’s seemingly what John Skipper and DAZN want, but Team Canelo seem intent on alternative options. Why?
Yes, he's ducking Gennady because now he would have to test clean in order to fight him. He can no longer be on the juice in a trilogy fight with GGG.

I don’t think you can say Canelo personally is ducking him, I mean he’s already fought him twice. He clearly has no issue fighting GGG.

I just think the team behind him are trying to ensure Canelo has as much of an advantage as possible for the third fight. Whilst they are also skeptical of risking their prize asset against a guy who should at least be 1-1 with him.

It's a fact to say Golovkin gave Alvarez two shots art his titles.
ggg gave away an undisputed shot vs BJS cuz he wanted to get the canelo money more than the titles, oscar ordered ggg to not take that fight if he wanted to fight canelo, so for ggg canelo was more important than the titles, even in the rematch he gave away his ibf title cuz he didnt wanted to risk the canelo fight, that alone should tell you who was the one giving the opportunity...
for ggg canelo was more important than the titles, for canelo ggg is not as important...
it might sound unfair but at this point canelo is more important than titles, ggg not so much...
