It's pretty clear that the sanctioning bodies and the fact that there's no 1 federal governing body for boxing are the actual problems with the sport. It was a matter of time before things were going to develop into whatever they developed into. All the options you mentioned are nothing but consquences to the problem of corrupt sanctioning bodies. -

People are voting there are too many sanctioning bodies, but even if there was just one (say WBC) and it was corrupt, then it would be just as bad as having 5-6 that we have today.
The real problem is corruption and protectionism (i.e. multiple promoters/managers protecting their assets preventing big fights).Comment

Pretty much all of the above.
I'm kind of burnt out on this subject.
Boxing just needs to give us great match-ups. And it's not doing that. I'll always love the sport itself, but I've tuned out plenty of times because I just don't care. Doesn't have to be that way. Maybe we'll see some changes...Comment

Networks and contracts.
Haymons has a crontract with Fox and Showtime,
Arum has a contract with ESPN/espn+
Oscar is with dazn
hearn is with dazn
So If all these people were on the same network I think it will be lovely cause the fights will get made but now so they dont get sued they have to live up to contracts to certain networks so they cant allow fights to happen.Comment

Exactly this for me. Boxing is a lawless state right now. It is the wild west. There is no Boxing Police. No over all ruling body. The people at the top seem to be the organizations. WBC, WBA and so on. But they are all money making businesses and they all seem to have their own sets of rules and they all make and break their own rules depending on how much money they can make, and there is nobody to stop them doing it.It's pretty clear that the sanctioning bodies and the fact that there's no 1 federal governing body for boxing are the actual problems with the sport. We have always needed an overall ruling body that assures all the organizations play by the rules, along with refs, judges, Boxers and their managers and promoters.Comment
