If I read the previous post correctly it means he is excused from taking on mandatories. He can fight whomever he wants. (And he obviously saw a fight against Charlo as a high-risk low reward proposition, despite the fact Uncle Al doesn't allow his fighters to fight in 50-50 bouts. it's mismatches or inactivity if you're PBC).
Canelo really ought to finish his business at 160 instead of bouncing all over the place at catchweights, 168 and now 175?
What the hell is he trying to accomplish?
He owes Golovkin the third fight on neutral territory, then if he's not interested in unifying at MW, P^* off to 168 and stop making everything so unnecessarily complicated just so you can be praised for winning the most belts.
Fans really don't give a ****e about belts anymore really. We've worked out they're mostly just for show and don't guarantee the best will fight the best.
It's money and exposure that determine who fights who. Oh sure every fighter who captures one of the over 100 belts available says the same boring old lines ' I want to unify the division, I want to show everybody that I'm the best, I only want to fight the best.' Bollocks.

For starters, Canelo is from Mexico not the U.S. (Where both fights took place) Canelo told ggg to go get a belt and the third fight will happen. But rather than fight Andrade (He wanted the fight) for a belt, ggg chose to fight the obscure Rolls. Canelo don't owe ggg shyte

“How is that you want to change everything but leave the judge that scored you the fight?” Alvarez said. “I’ve never been one to worry about the judges or care to see who’s doing the scoring. I believe in the laws and have confidence in the commission.”
Alvarez also said that Golovkin had a problem with the loud noises coming out of Alvarez’s locker room and requested to be moved to a different room.
“They’re kicking air with all these complaints,” Alvarez said.
“They’re insecure. I don’t know if it’s Abel or Golovkin, but too many excuses and requests.”
Loeffler recently requested to have the three national anthems sung before the HBO pay-per-view broadcast instead of the main event. Oscar De La Hoya, Alvarez’s promoter, called Golovkin unpatriotic.Last edited by JERMELL_CHARLO_; 06-29-2019, 06:09 PM.
