While Eddie is focused on America is MTK Global taking over the UK?

I don't live there so I'm not in tune with the general feeling over there. But just based off things I've been reading about MTK global it seems like they've been putting on a lot of fights and signing some good fighters. And they reached a deal with Top Rank to show their cards on ESPN.

Posters from the UK, tell me what's going on

MTK are just a management company.

I know they're a management company. Fury & BJS are signed with them.

But they put on shows right? The top Rank deal says they'll show MTK Global shows

Are any of the fighters they manage signed to Matchroom?

They are generally aligned with Queensberry Promotions aka Frank Warren.

They are doing a good job of putting on decent British level fights, but they are only shown on IFL TV's YouTube page in the UK. It's mostly domestic level guys in solid fights and guys signed to Warren and Hearn in stay busy fights when there aren't enough dates for them. They have moved comfortably into 3rd in UK promotion, passing Mick Hennessy, but they are still behind Warren and well behind Hearn.

Yeah lots, off the top of my head Charlie Edwards, Fielding, Josh Kelly, TJ Doheny, Liam Smith.

They only really do small hall shows.

Matchroom still get all the top amatuers turning over, as long as that stays the same theyll remain on top. Though imo I think they should streamline, theyre an international promoter now, focus on the most talented guys, and drop the Sky exclusivity. Stop getting into spats with Warren, they operate at different levels now.

There wouldnt be as many complaints about them from UK fans if they done 1 high quality card a month, and allowed other smaller promoters to fill the rest of the Sky calendar

MTK will likely one day become the franchise player in UK boxing

The UK is opened up more than its been so yea I'd be surprised if people aren't making moves. Eddie's deal with Sky seems like it'll keep him as the main guy there doe.

Now if he loses his Sky deal at some near or future date I suspect the UK could become more of a competitive battlefield between opposing ent^ties there.

At some point I think DAZN will try to conquer the UK and I'd imagine Hearn will try to align himself with them. Think Hearn and Sky are slowly moving apart from each other
