I have already stated in this thread Sulaiman is a corrupt disgusting fatass who ive ALWAYS hated to the ends of the earth & this is some bs,but as I said in another comment it doesn't actually change much just as it doesn't when fighters fight for other fake wbc belts. Canelo is already the undisputed champ at mw(even though Andrade has the wbo trinket,& yes I want him to face Andrade next,& think he was always going to face him before charlo anyways) & nelo will be seen as champ til he loses regardless of this bs belt,& if he loses this belt won't change him being viewed as no longer being the champ. As I said any fighter already values a fight with canelo over any belt anyways & this changes nothing other than Charlo now being considered champ.
Comments Thread For: Canelo Now WBC "Franchise" Champion, Charlo Now Full Champ!

So let's break this down for the simpletons. Wbc contacted team Canelo and said, hey, Charlo has been the mandatory for quite some time. Any chance Canelo faces Charlo soon? Team Canelo says, nope, no chance, we're going in another direction. Wbc president says, damn, last time we tried to enforce a mandatory on Canelo that he didn't want to face, he threw a hissy fit, gave us back our belt and wouldn’t even entertain fighting for our piñata belt that we created for his fight with Chavez Jr. We don't really want to lose out on those pay days. Let's give him this pretend forever title just to keep him happy, award our mandatory challenger the actual title and everyone will be happy. The end.
Or are you just talking out your ass again??Comment

So Canelo can do what he wants. He won't have to defend the belt or have to face a mandatory challenger. And now Jermall is a middleweight titlist without having fought a top 10 fighter and having arguably lost his last fight.
The question is who's the WBC middleweight champ now? The "franchise" champion (hahaha) or the regular champion who never won the belt in the ring?Comment

despite your typical angry rants, you appear to be a smart guy at times. You can't figure this out? The wbc are scum bags, they don't want to piss off Canelo again, Canelo will not be facing Charlo next, so they give charlo a belt but kiss Canelo's ass by giving him yet another pretend belt.Comment

Well the Diamond Belt is supposed to be just an honorary title with no meaning.
Have a look at the below and tell me which one is the odd one out:
WBA:
Super World Champion
World Champion
Interim World Champion
Gold Champion
WBC:
Franchise Champion
World Champion
Interim World Champion
Emeritus Champion
IBF:
World Champion
WBO:
(Super) World Champion
Interim World Champion
Global Champion
The WBA also recognise a 'Unified Champion' this was originally what a 'Super Champion' was but then they changed the rules required to become a super champion so needed a seperate title to distinguish...Usyk, Gassiev and Indongo were all relatively recent holders.
And then of course you have the WBC 'Eternal Champion' (cue angelic chorus sound fx) though TBF this one is honourary and only retired fighters are eligible... however I won't be at all surprised to see Mauricio wrapping one around Canelo's waist within the next year or two, retired or not.
EDIT: Oh and the WBOs Global champion is an odd one - despite the name it's not actually a world title but a regional one... for reasons only understood by their clearly superior intellects they elected to roll a chunk of Eastern Europe in with the Trans-Oceanic and the match was so ****** that they couldn't really agree on a sensible name for it... and lo, the 'global' title was created. You really couldn't make this ish up.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-26-2019, 06:55 PM.Comment

It's just a rebranding of the interim/regular champ idea because no one respected the "regular" belt when another fighter had the real belt.
Canelo is still WBC Champion, Charlo is still WBC "regular" or "interim" "champion." Don't get fooled by the rebranding propaganda.
Also, now Canelo is immune to mandatories, right? So WBC just completely trashed what little remaining integrity boxing still had as a "sport." At least before, when Canelo ducked prime GGG, there was a sporting remedy in place for situations like that, and GGG was rightfully made the champion. Now you won't even get that. Anyone who thinks this is a positive doesn't know **** about boxing. This is the WBC taking a dump on the sport.
Remember when triple diva used to claim he "fights fo honor not money,I no businessman like Canelo,he no respect his mandatories like me" or when he claimed"canelo fighting a ww at 155 is disgrace to boxing"(weeks before he dragged brook up to full 160 supposedly because:"cw fights are a disgrace to boxing, I'm lil mw anyways" of course he just fought 117th ranked rolls at a cw of 165 that rolls admitted was demanded by ggg. Ggg dropped his ibf trinket in his own words"because Deryev is too dangerous & skilled for me to face next,I want more money if I fight him" unlike Canelo who got back his belts & signed to face triple diva literally 12 mos after vacating.
I wrote my response like you normally do, extra longComment

In another thread people are saying "Charlo Is The One That Doesn't Want To Fight" though...
Charlo played the waiting game and got his Belt? Now if I'm Charlo, you fight whoever the WBC orders for you to fight and you ignore the Idiots who claim that You're the one that don't want to fight Canelo or GGG
WBC can order Charlo vs GGG again but I don't think GGG is interested, not out of fear but more so because he is obsessed with Canelo and getting a 3rd Shot at himComment
