Those fights in reality were never going to happen anytime soon and Canelo dropped the belt the last time the WBC tried to force a fight. This is so dumb, but now Charlo gets to go around bragging he as a full belt and probably will get paid more fighting cabbies because of it.

If this rule serves me correctly, Canelo can still fight for Undisputed. the WBA never forced Mayweather to fight Thurman or Lara whom were the Regular WBA guys in their divisions.

The Franchise Champion will proudly represent the WBC in every single fight as a reigning WBC champion, regardless of any specific conditions or titles being associated with all future fights.

Stop complaining! WBC titles are available to everyone, you need only pay a franchise fee and then describe the weight and title of the championship you desire. Your belt will be in the mail.

Something tells me the WBC were blackmailed for their Canelo-WBC-VADA Clenbuterol scandal. Instead of a huge scandal against the WBC and VADA leaked, they've given this to Canelo as the apology.
