Crawford should just move up in weight

Let’s face it, he’s not getting any of the PBC guys at welterweight anytime soon. Why would PBC put him in line for a belt before all there other guys? I would even bet you they’ll have rematches before Crawford gets his chance.

So I say, hold on to that WBO belt for now, make your yearly mandatory against a victim, but also venture up to 154 and see what happens.

All those titleholders would take a fight against Crawford, even if they’re aligned with PBC themselves. It’s too big a fight for a Harrison or a Hurd to pass up. Heck even a young Munguia might take that fight.

It’s a way to have big fights while waiting for PBC welterweights to all fight each other. And when a winner emerges (probably Spence), the titles at 154 are a way to have more power at the negotiating table.

He’d encounter the same problem at 154 that he has at 147

154 is no better, Haymon Controls that Division as well so move up and fight who exactly?

I think he should stay at 147, take care of Egidijus Kavaliauskas who his Trainer Brian McIntyre basically admits is NEXT as well as whoever Arum wants to throw in front of him until his contract his up which his Trainer said was up Next Year which is interesting

It is not about Jumping to PBC, it is more about maximizing Crawford's Earning Potential because I'm for the fighters, I don't give a SH#T about none of these Promoters. I would love to see Spence Jr vs Crawford do that fight on their own and collect ALL THE MONEY that comes from it.

Looking too far ahead though, Crawford and Spence Jr have to do their part and keep winning. Spence Jr is going to have to go through and very tough Gauntlet to get to this fight! Porter is never a easy fight and if he gets passed Porter, the winner of Thurman vs Pacquiao will be even tougher!

He is a welterweight and should stay there. The Spence fight could be made if his demands are not too high. Better to take less money but still a lot of money than to be too greedy. If he beats Spence he is in great shape but I think Spence would beat him.

Who the f#ck is he fighting at 154? All the main players currenly at 154 are PBC. And Munguia the main non-PBC guy is probably any day away from moving up to 160.

Crawford has always been a welterweight, despite weighing in as low as 135 through dehydration. As a lightweight, Crawford had a size advantage. As a welter Crawford will mostly be fighting fighters his own size. At 154 Crawford will be at a size disadvantage and I don't think he'll sign up for that.

When we say move up today, what we usually mean is stop being a weight bully and fight guys your own size, which is what Crawford did. Even Floyd, who is the same size as Crawford, only dabbled at 154.

                No.

I don't think he will be dominant at 154 and like other posters stated, who could he fight ?

I think the PBC guys at 154 fight him because it’s their only chance to fight one of the best pound for pound fighters around.

It’s their best path to being considered among the best in the world and demanding top dollar.

The best path for the PBC welterweights is fighting each other because they’re all considered p4p type guys.

He’s going to be picking off some of these 140lb stars as they move up .He will still make his millions and Spence will fight one or twice if we are lucky by fall of twenty and say I can’t make weight I’m going to 54.Avoiding his biggest threat at 47.legacy time they are never kind to a fighter who ducks the biggest threat belt or no belt.
