I like Alvarez' chances. Kovalev will be a walking deadman at that weight..

So was Canelo's fight at 168. No way in hell did he win a title against a true top 168 pound fighter.

Hope this isn't true because it'd be a useless fight.

I'd much rather see him face GGG, Andrade, Saunders or Charlo before I watch him against a weight drained Kovalev...which does nothing for his resume.

Who is talking about that fight, id.iot?

That was a paper fight, but this possible fight vs Kovalev is a great fight

There’s a big difference there. Floyd had fought both Oscar and Cotto at 154. He took a boxing scene quote from when Canelo was a big welterweight and used it to squeeze him down a few pounds.
Big difference than in this case where Canelo would be going up a few divisions and Kovalov agreeing to a catch weight to make the fight feasible.

                Another stu.pid hater.

Canelo beat the best two guys in his división .

And we don't know if would be a catchweight fight or not

And canelo accepted the catchweight in Floyd fight...

Yes Floyd was truly a great fighter. He earned his stripes beating legit Mexican and American boxers. Not beating the Jorge Cota's and the Carlos O Campo's of the division.

What I don't get is how Floyds fanbase can follow fighters that make a career being a watered down version of Floyd. Its kinda sickening to see a prospect or title holder avoid a challenge to fight a lesser opponent with a Spanish last name.
