There's no way around the fact that AJ was supposed to blast out Ruiz. Everybody from pros to casuals believed that. The majority anyway.

How much credit did LL get for avenging his losses to Mccall and Hasim? Not a lot if I remember correctly.
Do you know how betting works? Or how the odds are worked out? It’s casuals who place netting that help get the odds out. So casuals would look at Ruiz and look at Joshua and then proceed to put all their monies on Joshua.

The casinos WANTED money on Ruiz. It worked. The casinos lost. That means the casinos gave Ruiz little chance.

The casuals put money in those casinos. They don’t know much about boxing.

When JOsh lost he got discredited. So when he wins its only fair he gets credited. So you want to discredit him when he loses and wins?
Sure he will get credit, but just don't say hes the best of era if he beats Ruiz. He will be back in the running to fight WIlder and fury. Back to square one.
If Josh don't fight WIlder id like Ruiz to maybe

I would give him a decent amomut if credit for overcoming Ruiz to get back on track but i wouldnt give him a huge amount because he was suppost to do it first time around.

I will give him props, taking the rematch after that KO loss. But he needs to win by KO too. a split decision, just proves he is not there yet.

Ruiz is better than people thought now he beat josh, rather than Josh lost as Josh isn't very good.
So if Josh beats ruiz, he is beating a very good opponent who was previously underated.
If you don't think Josh should be given credit maybe Josh shouldn't waste time fighting ruiz.
But that's not the case as people think it's a great win for josh if he wins. You don't want Josh fighting bums like Charles martin

If it was the casuals who bet it down so be it. Sometimes camp reports can as well. My point still being, the casinos figured AJ was such a big favorite to win when the fight was made, that they were only willing to pay $1.00 after the customer put up $20.00.

Perhaps a lot of money came in on Ruiz from casuals or even seasoned boxing fans who saw a good deal at 20-1. Fight night the odds were closer to 10-1.

Do you know why the odds came down? The only thing I know for sure is the casinos didn't like Ruiz' chances at all when the fight was first made.

The question is how much credit? The thread title should not have implied he deserved none.
