If he fought like this earlier in his career he would have been knocked out. His talents are as a pure boxer not a brawler. I thought Ceja was clearly winning the fight when he was stopped.Comment

I never had a problem with Rigo’s style personally but a lot of people did. If he’d have had more fights like this he’d have undoubtedly been a more marketable fighter.Comment

He had Rigo hurt a couple of times.
Every time they have a premature stoppage like this I feel like I got robbed in the opportunity of watch an epic comeback or a seesaw battleComment

You could see Rigo really wanted to get in there and make it TV friendly. He was getting hit with shots that you don't usually see land on him clean, he didn't play distance at all.
Also threw some really odd combos and tripled up on shots.
Rigo is getting old, but I think this was more a deliberate choice he made on how he wanted to fight this fight.
Probably somewhere in between if being honest.Comment

he didn't answer the ref questions and needed help to walk back to his corner. He was done and his eyes were crossed too.Comment

I read somewhere Ceja’s eyes crossed. Not a good sign. I got knocked back once during a football game. My head hit the ground, and I sprang up immediately. But I could feel my eyes crossed even as I stood.
The ref in this fight obviously saw something that wasn’t apparent to fans watching on TV. Even so, you could tell that Ceja’s legs were weak as he walked back to his corner after the stoppage. It was a brutal shot Rigo landed. Not surprising that a fighter should be done, even if he stands right back up.Comment
