He broke his right hand. And still won anyway in the eyes of some.

Paulie embarrassed himself so badly last night.. this was essentially far more akin to boxing then MMA.. the ref barely allowed any clinching.. no kicks.. take downs etc allowed..

After the first 2 rounds Paulie just ran and I barely saw him throw a punch (not an exaggeration) in the 4th or 5th

Also Paulie was a world champ in boxing.. Never was a huge fan but I think it's hard to argue he wasn't a B level fighter...

Artem Lobov is not even a D level MMA fighter.. guy is like 13-15 in MMA.. he got in the UFC mostly due to his connection with Conor

Add onto this the spitting.. cheap shots and constant "he's leaving in a bodybag" **** talk.. I am so glad this **** lost.. especially after he ran for the last 2-3 rounds and refused to engage

... by "the sport of boxing" you definitely mean boxing accoding to Queensberry Rules... because before the "Queensberry Rules" boxing practically was "bare knuckles"...

Paulie basically tried to steal the fight and I'm kind of glad they didn't let him even though I saw him landing more frequently than the opponent. He got his comeuppance for all that nonsense in the build up. Couldn't support him after he spit in the guy's face

Much ado about nothing. Boxing is just not about Lomachenko-type boxing. It's also about power, aside from mental and physical fitness. Malignaggi is feather-fisted. What exactly do you expect? Do you expect Loma to beat everyone in a street fight just because he's a boxer?

Quit wasting bandwidth with this nonsense. Paulie didn't embarrass anybody. He should even be proud of himself.

Then why didn't Lobov knock him out? I thought the fight was close but I thought Paulie won it by landing more punches with his jab. However, I don't know what the criteria are for bare knuckle brawling though. I thought Paulie won it on ring generalship.

Just Google Jon Jones microdosing. All will be made clear. Or, you can check my older posts in the MMA board.

They found something from a medical exam before the weigh in. Fight was canceled.

Exactly THIS. It's not boxing, you don't score it like a boxing match, it's all about aggression.

Paulie was on the backfoot, stumbling and clinching for three rounds and ran without throwing for two of those. That's NOT a ring general.

In a pure boxing match Pauli would get an easy decision.
But this wasn’t a boxing match and Pauli’s advantages won’t shine in this arena. I was surprised that Pauli didn’t get more shots in, he seemed hesitant and thought he could dance on him and then break him down. There wasn’t enough time in each round to set anything up.
Apples to oranges comparison. Pauli was a world class technical fighter, not a brawler.

He apologized to boxing fans for the judges not giving him the decision, to be clear. He doesn't admit losing. He's not the least bit gracious.

As usual, this is some great conspiracy against him.

Paulie would have won a dance contest, it's true. He was a regular Swayze in there.

No rec center would be at threat from those mean real estate developers. Not with Paulie Malignaggi's ability to dance and move.
