I would love to see Usyk get a shot at the heavyweight title but I don't quite understand the WBO(does anybody?).
Last month ratings
Andy Ruiz Jr.
1. Dillian Whyte
2. Tom Schwarz
3. Tyson Fury
4. Oscar Rivas
5. Zhilei Zhang?
6. Tyrone Spong?
7. Junior Fa?
8. Agit Kabayel?
9. Kyotaro Fujimoto?
10. Evgeny Romanov?Comment

Man, Gassiev and Bellew are B class champions.
They are not great fighters or dangerous fighters.
Gassiev fights in slow motion, and Bellew is nothing special, and he don't have good chin and has a mediocre stamina.
And nope, heavyweight with Ruiz, Parker, Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz, Fury and Whyte is a much more talented division
Fury, Ruiz and Wilder are the big 3. the rest is interchangeable. Including with Usyk.Comment

Yeah, Holyfield's physique at HW points to the sauce. Good on Usyk for VADA. Would love to know what the percentage is at the top who is on PEDs???Comment

Style-wise Usyk could be a nightmare for Ruiz. Then again Ruiz is always dangerous inside, has a constant motor, and so far, doesn't mind getting hit (and holds up well). This would be an interesting fight.
But it shouldn't be happening this way. Usyk should not be anyone's mandatory right now. He needs to earn a place in line first. The WBO looks very suspect.Comment

hearn co-promotes Usyk as well. I think hearn and WBO may have made a deal, in an attempt to keep Matchroom/DAZN in contention for a belt if AJ loses the rematch.Comment

[QUOTE=Boxing Logic;19851403]Wtf are you talking about? Kovalev wanted Ward years before Ward waited for Kovalev to get past prime and drunk and fight him. Ward didn't have to "make sure to even get Kovalev." They were begging for that fight. Ward was never his mandatory. [QUOTE]
Kovalev was arrogant. He thought Ward would be an easy fight. I disagree with the "Ward waited" whining. Ward moved up on his own timetable from 168. He was trying to get the Golovkin fight. When it was obvious that would not happen he moved up to the bogeyman in the next division - Kovalev. No waiting, no fear, just making a decision, accepting the challenge, and going forward.
Kovalev past prime and drunk doe. LoLoL!Last edited by MastaBlasta; 06-24-2019, 02:34 AM.Comment

But Usyk could surprise ... and avoid getting caught.
But I think you're correct. Sooner or later he WILL get caught ... then, lol, back down you go ...Comment
