I'm in Cincinnati now and boxing is thriving here. Gyms everywhere and I go to at least one local show a month. Amateur or pro. I can meet a random person on the street here and talk boxing and they'll know more about it than a casual fans. Everybody here knows about boxing. I can bring up Andrade & they'll know who he is.
I think that's why my opinion on DAZN is so strong. If people here aren't accepting of it then it's not crossing over to the casual fan and thats who they need to survive. People are fairly familiar with it. This is a typical conversation I'll have.
Me: You watching the Andrade fight this weekend?
Them: What channel is it on?
Me: It's on DAZN
Them: That app? Man why they keep putting these fights on the apps. I might check it out. How I do it?
And then it's me taking 5 mins to explain to download, how much it costs, and how to mirror it to their TV. And they're usually uninterested by the time I'm finished and are content with just watching the highlights the next day.
