Comments Thread For: Oleksandr Usyk Set Down as Mandatory For Ruiz-Joshua Winner

The World Boxing Organization has issued an official ruling, pursuant to a petition filed by attorney John Hornewer, to name Oleksandr Usyk as the mandatory challenger in the heavyweight division. The current WBO heavyweight champion is Andy Ruiz, who also holds the WBA, IBO, IBF world titles. Ruiz captured the belts on June 1, with a seventh round stoppage of Anthony Joshua in a shocking upset at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Easy money for Usyk against both.

Ruiz is a much easier opponent than Joshua.

Safe to say Audley Joshua may retire after this news. Doesn't matter really, not getting past Ruiz anyway.

That's bc you haven't looked over the rules .

Usyk was the mando for Joshua anytime he wanted to be all he has to do is say so bc hes a unified CW champ[ion and according to that he can go in HW as a Mando under one of the 3/4 sanctioning bodies.

Wheather its Ruiz or Joshua ,not sure why a ruling had to be addressed bc its the rules ? Many were expecting Usyk to fight Joshua after Usyk defeated Takam and Joshua with Ruiz, neither happened but still could .

Usyk gave up his belts. His status as super champ should be meaningless now. Remember andre ward had to give up his 168 belt before he moved up, then had to fight the #1 ranked wbo guy to make sure he could even get the kovalev fight??? At least make usyk fight whyte.

Lmfao these comments are killing me !! Can't believe fanboys actually think Uysk would beat a top heavyweight. Fury, Wilder, Ruiz, Joshua, Whyte, Parker, Povetkin and Ortiz would all put a beating on him. However, he'd do decent against Miller, Rivas, Arreola, Breazeale, Stiverne, Martin, Pulev, Takam and Kownacki.
