They won't run it back the finals will go on
Glowacki-Briedis fight should be declared a no contest without a shadow of a doubt

There are definitely a few problems with this fight, but idk that any one of them is glaring enough by itself or combined with the others to result in the fight being a NC.
The elbow was a foul obviously, but was it a DQable or NCable foul? idk about that & I'd say no. Maybe it shoulda been a point, but not a DQ or NC.
The bell ringing forever after the round was beyond r3tarded, but I've seen numerous fights end before 3 minutes or after 3 minutes & its w/e. Its bad dude got dropped after the bell had rung, but I'm sure its happened before & the fight did go on as did this one.
I guess that is the best argument for a NC doe cuz maybe Glowanacki deserved a longer recovery time after a blow that shoulda been deemed illegal, but idk that that should be NC worthy either honestly. Boxing isn't big on converting fights to a NC.Comment

I don’t blame Briedis for throwing the elbow, seemed like a natural reaction to having just been punched in the back of the head and having the offender still standing there. I don’t even blame Byrd for not ruling on it. Glowacki ‘s strange delayed reaction looked contrived. I’m not claiming it was faked but the only way I would have known that was by watching the replay.
Byrd is still one of the best refs working today, imo.Comment

The fact they fought so long after the bell and Glowacki was KD in that time should be enough for a NC decision.Comment

The elbow got dealt with at the time. If Glowacki was badly hurt he could have stayed down and might have won a DQ. But he fought on - so it's a non issue in terms of a NC.
Fighting beyond the bell was a bigger problem but, as said before, it happens.
It was a farce but it won't be changed to a NC. The only thing that will happen is Byrd won't be refereeing again.Comment

The long round was a problem but after watching the replay more than just a couple times, I believe Glowacki was given sufficient time to recover from the elbow. If you haven’t watched the replay, with a cooler day after perspective, do so.Comment

I was actually disgusted watching it. Glowacki gets elbowed in the face and literally never recovers from it. Robery Byrd counts Glowacki 30 SECONDS AFTER THE ROUND HAS ENDED. One of the most absurd things I've ever seen.Comment
