Reminds me of the “new amir khan” under virgil hunter. People swore he was a different fighter bc he beat Julio diaz type guys.

I don't think GGG will ever find a better trainer, nobody ever heard of him before Sanchez now he is one of the best. The only thing he needs is like Canelo to learn to move his hips waist head, not run around like a chicken. Hope they don't ruin him.

Maybe I missed something here, but where was Sanchez being vindictive or hateful.

It kind of sounded like he was basically stating it takes a while to teach someone to do something new, so it will take a while for Banks influence to show.

        What did I miss?

I think the only thing he needed like Canelo was a powerful promoter to help sway the scores. I think most unbiased people feel he won the first fight so he really didn't need to change stylistically.

Still, even in that first fight he was 34, and he is only older and slower now. Not much you can do to change and defeat father time.

I didn't like that he was eventually wading through punches in order to find big shots. That's something he's always done and it's a really bad practice.
Yeah, Trip G has always been blessed and cursed with a granite chin. Blessed because against lesser competition he can wade through things and dictate the fight, cursed because against equal fighters it leaves him open to getting hit from all angles as he tries in vain to do the same thing.

If Rolls can get him to tighten up his defense and get back to some body work, he has a decent chance to even things up with Alvarez. If not, he will get a decision loss again.

Nothing. Sanchez was being professional about a fighter he still has a ton of emotional investment in. Those that see hate in his comments want to. They would criticize Sanchez if he said nothing.

That last paragraph is actually only one side of the story; Sanchez’ side. I like Sanchez and I have nothing but respect for him. But GGG has never confirmed that money was the issue in the split. We may never know the full story but the fact is we can’t just buy into one side of the story. At this point it’s all speculation.
