Big difference between povetkin (who also follows the folk religion of the Slavic peoples and is a huge Slavic nationalist) and Gassiev. Even the names are different. This is literally like taking a white American and a Mexican American and calling them the same.
Well Damn Fam! How did you learn so much about Central Asia?

You love talking out of your bum, don’t you?

Usyk is a Slav as well and he and Povetkin belong to the same ethnic group.

The man said political reason perhaps because he’s from Western Ukraine. But he fought Glassiev and Ossetians are nationalists just like your average Russians. So he might just be hiding under the political banner because it’s a risky fight with little or no reward.

It depends on which region in Ukraine. Not all Ukrainians have problems with Russia.

It's the Caucasus, not central Asia - but I meant to ask him the same question... not so many dudes - especially from the US know much about regional issues like that. Dude's **** on though - kinda what I was referring to in my own post but I didn't have time to expand on.

Come to think of it though, I've got an idea he might not be a US dude despite the name... could be he mentioned something about Germany maybe. Can't remember now.

Forget it. We won't surrender to Russia after they occupied Crimea and still lead a war in Eastern Ukraine.

Not even a heavyweight yet and he’s already ducking?

Usyk is a fast learner. Eddie has taught him well.

Usyk was born in Crimea, the bit currently annexed and governed by Russia - ie the part the entire fight is about.
