No a fluke is something that was accidently successful. Let's just wait and see what happens in the rematch before calling what happened in the first fight a "fluke." If the rematch is competitive and Joshua wins then Ruiz's winning the first fight wouldn't be a fluke. If Ruiz defeats Joshua in the rematch then you'll have to give the man the respect he is due. The question I have is what will you say about Joshua if he loses the rematch as convincingly as he lost the first fight? If Joshua totally destroys Ruiz in the rematch then I'll agree Ruiz's initial win was a fluke.

He’l kill Ruiz in Dec. If a 30% Josh could score a KD against Ruiz despite trying to avoid being hit anyway around his head due to what happened pre-fight. A 100% Josh will kill him. Fu..ck Ruiz and his coach, just enjoy your 6 month because you’ll have to retire after December.Comment

This is definitely a high stakes gamble by Matchroom and Joshua. Both Matchroom's and Joshua's asses are on the line. If AJ loses this immediate rematch to Andy Ruiz, Jr. Then his career is over. It would be ruined and then Matchroom would probably go out of business.Comment

Public perception seems to be everything to people. Joshua's not all pissed off and going on some eye of the tiger quest, so people perceive his demeanor as, business as usual. Reality is, nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. Team AJ may know something that the public doesn't know. Pretty much everything is speculation...UNTIL the next fight happens. The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and not always in the public perception. It's easy for Wilder and anyone else with a keyboard or mic in their face, to judge a guy's career by one fight. I understand that's what forums and interviews and such are for, but I'm just sayin'.
I suppose this is just more evidence that we live in a "What have you done for me lately ?" society. Such is life.Comment

Josh will be ok. The ref stopped him taking too much punishment so he can fight another day.
He didn't take much punishment in that fight so he will be ok. He got knocked down twice more than fury did against wilder essentially, no big deal really.Comment
