Let's hope Canelo and GB discuss the 3rd fight and negotiate the 3rd fight with GGG then at the last second choose Andrade or Charlo in order to really stick it to GGG and Loeffler. That would be funny as hell especially hearing how GGG and all his fanboys would be crying and wailing about it.

It’s all about taxes fam. He fought fielding for a smaller purse. As a non American citizen why does he want to pay New York State tax and New York City tax on a purse around 50 million dollars? That’s over 6 mil in additional taxes he would have to pay. That’s why Floy and Manny always fought in NV or TX. No state taxes.

Take a look at the NY Authorized and Competitive Sports Tax effective 1 Sep 2016 and have a look at what the state taxes are in NY these days - its capped, and for big fights its not significant.

I know but they weren't always having scorecards in their favor. We obviously know Canelo's history with scorecards so it would be nice to see how things would play out, not in Vegas or Texas.

Why is Loeffler even talking about venues? He needs to be talking about "Plan B!" They need to have a plan for GGG's future that does not include Canelo!

Whats worth a damn at 160 besides Canelo? Everyone who's not Canelo is aiming for Canelo at 160. Hell everyone who's not #1 in any non-160lb division should be aiming towards the #1 guy in their division.

How GGG is thinking is how all competitive boxers should be thinking. Somehow all these fanboys have made GGG doing the same thing everyone else is doing bad.

That said I do agree GGG & Tommy need to take what they can get venue-wise & act accordingly with their strategy. If you fight Canelo in Vegas again lets not act like winning 7 rounds is necessarily going to win the fight. You need some KD's, better yet a KO. Leave it all in the ring. But GGG has leverage due to casuals knowing him & caring about this rivalry, but he's not got the sorta leverage that can dictate where he gets the fight at.

The dynamics might have changed with DAZNs involvement too in that the fight is more likely to be where DAZN wants it vs where Canelo or Golovkin want it. Their quest for subsciptions might be better served by MSG vs Vegas, or some completely different location.

If the first two fights happened at msg, strong chance Canelo would be 0-2 vs ggg. Oscar knows that and would likely do everything to prevent that from happening. It's one thing for Canelo to get out of his comfort zone and fight a C class guy like fielding in NYC, but to have a potentially close fight in NYC may not be in his best interests.
