Ensure fighters are financially secure during their careers to prevent them fighting on well past their prime.
A seasoned, healthy pro at 41 against a 32-year old can, isn't one of them. Fighters fighting in their 40s is becoming the new normal these days.

I think they shouldn't sanction Pacquiao fights anymore. It wouldn't end well for him if he keeps going, going. Somebody needs to save him.

It’s not about age. It’s about capability. Zab was no longer capable of competing at that level, it was glaringly obvious. Pacquiao is still capable, there’s a big difference. Personally I’d like to see Pacquiao retire also but he’s still a top level fighter.

If they managed to sanction Lewis vs Tyson in 2002 - Tyson being Zoloft-addicted at that time, and Lennox pathetically keeps bragging about that win to this day - they can sanction whatever they want now.

That fight was a shameful blot on Lewis' career. He looked so pathetic strutting around the ring as though he had beaten a prime Tyson.

What made this even worse is that Zab suffered a bleed on the brain, when there was absolutely no point of him being in the ring.

I really wish, commissions, sanctioning bodies, promoters, managers etc done more to protect fighters. Unlikely to ever happen though.

Thoughts are with Zab Judah and his family.
Do you feel the same way about all these overmatched journeymen that travel around the world and get beat up to make up and coming fighters look good??

Completely depends on how you define journeymen...
It’s a case by case basis.

A 19 yr old Eastern European with an inflated record facing an Olympian prospect. Yes that type of mismatch shouldn’t be sanctioned.

A guy like William Warburton or Brett Fidoe who’s legitimately skilled and capable of competing with young prospects. No problem that’s a fine matchup.

We need someone like a Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao to use their overseas connections to hook these past it star boxers up with lucrative 3 round exhibitions. They should start a promotional company that specializes in it.

It's better than these guys getting beat up by other pros over 12 rounds.

That's two fighters that you can make an argument shouldn't be allowed to fight anymore. A Journeyman with 150 losses. You know that's not very healthy to keep on getting beat up over and over again.
