Zab Judah is yet another reminder...

Why fighters shouldn’t go on too long, it was painful to watch Zab in there this weekend, there was literally nothing left. I absolutely hate watching fighters lose to guys they’d have easily dealt with in their prime. What made this even worse is that Zab suffered a bleed on the brain, when there was absolutely no point of him being in the ring.

I really wish, commissions, sanctioning bodies, promoters, managers etc done more to protect fighters. Unlikely to ever happen though.

Thoughts are with Zab Judah and his family.

He's a name they can exploit for ticket sales for their bum fighters.

What can anyone do if a pro fighter wants to continue fighting, despite their age? There isn't an age limit in boxing. People who care about him should have done more.

      The Pacman could be next.

I don't think there is anything they could do. At the weigh in he looked fitter than most 21 year olds, plus Judah is probably close to broke, you can't deny a man a chance to earn money and support himself and his family.

Yup and Manny Pacquiao should take heed of the Zab Judah and Adonis Stevenson situations and get out of boxing while he can instead of continuing to fight past his sell date.

It’s always happened in combat sports and always will. It’s terrible IMO but it’s commonplace.

I just wish more could be done. I mean Zab hadn’t fought in 17 months and hadn’t had a legit fight for over 5 years. This kinda sh** shouldn’t be sanctioned

It sounds like he may have suffered a Subdural hematoma to me. Which essentially means bleeding on the brain.

They need to give fighters more protection financially. I wish there was some sort of pension scheme to ensure fighters have money after their career is over

Refuse to sanction fights that aren’t going to be competitive. This fight was just to put a name on Seldin’s record.

Ensure fighters are financially secure during their careers to prevent them fighting on well past their prime.
