He was supposed to easily destory Rolls which he did, but Rolls came to fight, GGG did his job and yes he was hit at times, but showed he still has devastating power and killer instinct
I give him credit. Fight should’ve been at 168. Rolls has more fights than GGG above 160, and again, low and behold as it’s always said, GGG still rehydrates bigger on fight night than Rolls or Canelo. All the sheer power comes from GGg’s back, massive torso. People even saying GGG’s torso looks like a ninja turtle.
I see 164 as a feel out weight for possible fights at 168 and 160. Smart move by DAZN and GGG. I think GGG vs Canelo is going to be at 168 which will give this fight even more noise.
GGG still looked thinner and eyes seeped in at the 164 weigh in, but not as bad when at 160. I prefer GGG just freaking relax and fight at 168 unhindered by water loss. Come 100% tip top without any water drainage. Even Canelo at 164 or 168 he fights comfortably.
To put it into perspective, Brandon Rios once fought at 135 and the guy was massively drained. It was pathetic for Top Rank to do that. Even Crawford was having trouble at 135 and looked anorexic at weigh ins. Brandon Rios would lose 22lbs of water to still give HBO its show.
Even Rios with his fight against Ramon Alvarez was even bigger in a Super Welter fight.
Boxing is deceiving.
My point is the best of GGG is to come. People like to ignore that I even said he was better off signing to PBC and dominate 168. Easily beats Dirrell or Plant. DAZN gave him the option to expand GGG Promotions. I doubt PBC saw any lucrative benefits for GGG Promotions endeavors for East Euro fighter’s whenever dAZn continues to grow in more future East Euro markets.

Why would GGG's win over Rolls bother anyone? GGG did what he had to do. Am I bothered that GGG Promotions and Loeffer hijack Canelo's name? No. Why? Cause Canelo is the better boxer imo, and Canelo is one of the few uncredited P4P fighters whom fought completely different in two consecutive fights against GGG. Most rematches in the game would have consistent styles. Proves who's in control of the fight. Canelo a baddass
Simply stepping between the ropes at 37 deserves credit... however, given the perceived ability gap between GGG and Rolls I'd say not much. The bookies odds said it all really. Pretty bad mismatch even for a tune-up.
