The road is a big deal, and no disrespect, Fury has an edge here. When youre getting backed up, and you look at the crowd. Do you see people cry for you to come back, or scream for your blood? Road warriors are my favorites.

So I don’t know about “Joshua was doing fine until he decided to go for the knockout”
Andy occupied the centre but Joshua was jabbing and fighting from the outside using his range. It was when he decided to go for the knock out that things got wrong.

The Champion boxing at range and playing it safe should win anything close, but AJ ain't champ no more. His best chance, and what I want to see is the rematch in the UK. Let's see if Ruiz can travel well, can he open another stream of income?

I think AJ will box that way if the fight is in the UK, and he will prob get a decision. No way should he go for it unless Ruiz is super hurt. I'm surprised he didn't box more like he did against Parker.

Against Parker AJ was saved by the way the ref used to stop any action, continuously.

Joshua was too busy commenting on the Wilder-Breazeale match and trying to put Wilder down in the weeks leading to his fight against Andy Ruiz, an unknown underdog nobody was interested in or thought could win.

Now, Fury is too busy commenting on the Joshua-Ruiz match and trying to undermine Joshua in the weeks leading to his fight against Tom Schwarz, an unknown underdog nobody is interested in or things can win.

Let us see what the result of this one would be.

People fight at range to soften their opponents. You will be hitting but not getting hit then when you go for the knockout your opponent won't be able to get up. AJ went for the knockout too early. His kind of power is decent not concussive and he needs to try knockouts after the 6th round. Lewis used to jab a lot first 5 to 6 rounds then try the knockout. If your opponent is too strong just jab your way to a decision.

Can Joshua jab and hold Ruiz like the Parker fight. Probably not for 12 rounds. Ruiz knows that Joshua has a suspect chin and will take chances to get inside. A.J may hurt him again but most likely will ultimately cave. There are some making the argument that Joshua was careless trying to K.O Ruiz after dropping him. If you watch Wilder/Breazeale again you will notice Wilder getting caught with two rights after stunning Dominick. The difference is that Wilder has a chin that held up. Joshua does not have that luxury. This was not just a loss. Joshua was exposed. Is he gifted enough like Lennox Lewis or Vlad to make it back to the elite level? Not likely! Too robotic with stamina issues to go along with the chin!

During the fight his corner told him to clinch up close. He did it in 6th round. He tied Ruiz up twice successfully his other attempts after that got him lit up on the inside.
