Porter: "Where do you expect the rematch to take place?"

Ruiz:"Um, if it takes place here it would be great, but if goes to Mexico it would be even greater. But if they're trying to move it over there to the UK and that's what we're trying to negotiate, I'd like to bring it over here."

Abdo: "Who has the ultimate say in it?"

    Ruiz: "Um, I don't know."

Porter: "Your the champ it should be you.

    Ruiz: "I'm the champ, but..."

Good for him, AJ's team wanted to play games when AJ was on top, now the games are over. Pay the man, he's earned it.

        Get that money Andy!!

You might be locked into a rematch clause but DAZN needs to get subscribers and move forward, you can stink up those plans by holding the belts hostage with injuries for a year. Maybe even risk getting 1 or 2 belts stripped while AJ and Matchroom watch them go to those in line in rankings.

DAZN needs to cough up cash if AJ is still their golden goose.

Eddie you flucked up bad. Very bad.

AJ be a man and have the rematch in the US where you aren't coddled with Matchroom home cooking.

Yep, especially if you're going after a belt. Forget any "A" side, "B" side bull. If you are confident enough to talk trash and guarantee knockouts or whatever, why not take a lesser cut in a heartbeat. After you hold the belt, THEN write your ticket to the moon. Appears RUIZ didn't hesitate when offered the fight. Now look...
And this isn't toward any boxer in particular. "Snooze you Lose" is just how things often work out.

I'm still curious if it will be 50/50 or what. I have some guys handing me this, "It's a FACT that Joshua will still get the larger purse." Never fails how opinions are always FACTS, on NSB.

Ruiz, in the wake of his victory, has become the first "Mexican" World Heavyweight Champ. Mexicans and Mexican-Americans make up a huge boxing fan base, in general. If they decide to adopt Ruiz Jr. with even a fraction of the following that Alvarez has...there's your PPV numbers in the U.S...….plus the Live Gate in Britain.

Would that not maximize the take?
This fight would break box office records if held in the U.K. However it wouldn't come within a fraction of the amount of money it could potentially make if it was held in the states and that's a fact.

Andy even said he doesn’t know what’s fully in the contract, but some posters on here seem to be experts.

I have no idea how much can be put into the rematch clauses. Does it just state that the champ has the right to an immediate rematch? How in depth does it go?
so you don’t think that Ruiz should give Joshua the chance for redemption even though was given the chance of a lifetime and a career ever highest purse in the process......if Ruiz don’t do that he is certainly not a warrior and an honourable man because Joshua did not have to give him this chance.
Ruiz obviously knows Joshua will be a lot tougher in the rematch if he is already trying to turn his back on something he signed to get this first shot.

Rematch is already ironed out, everything down to what size ring will be in the contract. Eddie is a ****, but hes a smart snakey ****. Andy aint getting no 50m, AJ doesn't even get that.

This kid has the golden ticket. He's obviously not getting 50 million but 10 is not out of the question.. went from a nobody to making close to 15 million in 2 fights maybe. Not fking bad!!!!
