Geezus. I saw him fight hammer on the pac-rios undercard. After his fight with parker dude just gave up. When have i ever said he headlined during our back and fourth, hell even in this thread? He chose ortiz cause hes an opponent wilder had you fool. Your just pulling **** out your assand hoping i dont noticeHe wasn't a draw. You can't say he was. I doubt you even knew who he was before this. Many people didn't.
To my knowledge never headlined a card. if you can show me the card he headlined, cool. If I am wrong show me and I will say so. This isn't that complicated. Stop all the BS posting and post something tangible. I will accept it once you prove your point, which you refuse to do.
Hearn didn't even choose Ruiz, he choose Ortiz. If Ruiz was such a draw, why was a Cuban who has little to no fanbase chosen before him?
How about you wait and see if Ruiz is the a side based on the fans he draws to the rematch if it's in the US. Hating wilder and not being able to handle AJ getting beat doesn't make Ruiz the a side if he fights wilder.Comment

OK I didn't even remember that fight. I didn't say you did, I was just asking you if he had headlined and could you name the card.Geezus. I saw him fight hammer on the pac-rios undercard. Once again you haven't shown how Ruiz is a draw. You're arguing his beating AJ is going to make him a star in the US because he is mexican and Mexicans watch boxing. In response I am asking why do you feel this way since Mexicans/ Mexican Americans didn't support him before AJ and barely knew who AJ was going into this fight.
You haven't answered that question. You're prematurely speculating because you, like a lot of others, can only deal with the loss by taking shots at Wilder.Comment

Be that as it may. I think wilder commands the more star power. Has been champ much longer, is popular, and is much more the showman. He’s headlines many more events.
Besides being Mexican which doesn’t mean much, he’s from the us and is viewed as such, he will never command the Mexican audience. He pick up some dollars but likely never reach Canelo status.Comment

You can make an argument ruiz had a fanbase. Did you even see the fight? There were alot of people there with mexican flags cheering him on. Obviously a majority of people were cheering aj but ruiz fanbas did have a presence, in new york no less. Not many mexicans in ny. Ruiz is the A side now. Accept itOK I didn't even remember that fight. I didn't say you did, I was just asking you if he had headlined and could you name the card.

Come on dude, that is an over 20k seat arena set up for max fans. There wasn't more than 5k Mexican fans there and that is being generous. Wilder may not be a draw but he get 8500-9500 in Barclays. You can make an argument ruiz had a fanbase. Did you even see the fight? There were alot of people there with mexican flags cheering him on.
