I agree. If AJ is to win, he's got to do it within the first couple of rounds. Lots of folks thinking that he's going to fight tall and jab his way to a boring Wlad-style UD, but I don't see it. Ruiz is too seasoned for that. He's a good boxer and he's proven that he knows how to time AJ. Ruiz is not going to get worn down by the pace that AJ brings and he's too smart to get repeatedly jabbed and potshotted. If AJ is to win, he needs to cut off the ring better and close down on Ruiz, use his body and bully Ruiz to the ropes and land hard punches, body first then head.

I don't think AJ will do this though. The dude is 6'6", 250lbs and does not know how to use his body on people.

It sounds to me that they are going to host the rematch in the U.S. Again; Since Matchroom has a contractual obligation to DAZN. I know this can't be AJ's decision but he says he trusts his management team.

I think it would be better to settle the score where he lost to be fair

We disagree, as always. Look, you seem to think AJ is going to get away without getting hit for 12 rounds, but I guarantee you that won't happen. AJ is not fighting you. Unlike you, Ruiz is a skilled boxer who knows how to slip a jab and get under and in on AJ. Not sure where you got the idea that Ruiz is slow. He showed that he's quicker and cagier than AJ and that's not going to change by the time they rematch.

AJ is 6'6" and 250lbs, yet he fights like he's the smaller guy. This is a huge mistake. If he's got a glass chin then he's going to get his ass knocked out again anyway, so its much better for him to fight on the front foot attacking with long jabs and right hands. He is physically way stronger than Ruiz so he needs to control him and bully him into position for heavy shots to the body and head. I know you are nervous about AJ's ability to take a punch, I get that. You can't go into a fight confident though if you don't trust yourself to be able to take any damn punch at all. AJ's a strong, big MFer. He needs to impose himself on the smaller guy and get his respect from the opening bell. If he screws around retreating and poking belly jabs again, then Ruiz is going to smile and jump all over his ass again.
