Hearn failed as a promoter big time. He waited too long to milk the Wilder/Fury fights and his fighter lost. Now Joshua has to build himself to make those fights big time again. He'd have to take his game to another level.

Not sure, the Andy rematch will be big, and if AJ wins his title back, they might go for a third big event in UK or Mexico

Then he can fight WILDER and FURY.

So if Joshua wins the rematch, it will be bonus for Hearn as Ruiz emerged as a fourth player on the HW scene and they might have 2 or 3 fights together...

If Joshua loses the rematch, matchroom will be done for sure.

People are acting like Joshua walked into a lucky punch. Joshua got the **** beat out of him for seven rounds and quit.

Yeah, I cant remember too many fights that were this one sided where a fighter was systematically broken down where they won a rematch.

Joshua hit Ruiz as hard as he could, Ruiz got up, tightening up his defense, and went to work.

Ruiz is deceptively good at catching parrying and countering, and he has the speed to do it in combinations.

They really big dudes like Joshua, with the exception of probably Tyson Fury, don't have the hand speed, body speed, foot speed, etc to deal with a really fast guy that can counter their jabs.

Joshua doesn't have a bad jab. But just trying to jab at ruiz, which you would think would be the best thing for him to do got him in trouble.

Ruiz kept countering the jab, because Joshua just can't get it back to defend himself before Ruiz can get his shots in.

Its a problem that I don't see a solution to for Joshua. He just cant handle this kind of speed.

They say speed kills. Andry Ruiz's speed and technique killed Joshua.

Ruiz also fought a calm composed fight, didn't leave any sloppy openings while he was walking him down and breaking him down.

Get past his physique and Ruiz is very sound fundamentally. He is also capable of stepping it up a level also. I don't think he even really had to dig deep to dismantle Joshua.

Judging from his other fights, he had a lot he was holding in reserve. They were probably planning for the late rounds, but they stopped him fairly early.

Personally, I would like to see AJ take at least a year long sabbatical away from the sport by getting some much needed rest but that's just not possible because Matchroom Sport needs him.

Matchroom would go out of business without Anthony Joshua. I hate to say it but in a rematch, I believe AJ loses to Andy Ruiz again. I just don't believe that he is all the way back, psychologically speaking from that KO.

He is going to become even more gun shy and less confident in the fact that he knows he's in there with a guy who can punch and hurt him.

I think AJ never recovered from the first KD and it didn't help him for the remaining rounds.

Somehow, I think he wasn't ready for the war Ruiz brought to him but more for a US MSG showcase.


AJ will have to fight a perfect fight in the rematch, if he does he wins 100% IMO

I just think it comes down to the fact that Joshua is a little too big for his own good. He isn't fast enough to get out of the way of Ruiz's shots. He cant handle the speed.

If someone is too fast for you, and is counterpunching. There isn't really anything you will ever be able to do about it.

He was trying to fight off the jab, but Ruiz was fast enough to counter his jab with that left hook right hand.

You hear Joshua between rounds. He even said he thinks Ruiz is waiting for the left hook, and he knew he was throwing it as a counter to his jab.

He had no solution to this. He asked for answers from his corner. They had no solutions either, because the problem was Ruiz's speed.

They want the titles back to AJ? but for what? for ducking the most dangerous opponents again and for years? and at the same time accusing; everyday for years, those opponents of not wanting to face AJ ? NO THANKS!!

Moneymakers behind Wilder should try to make a checkmate on AJ & brithead hearn, by proposing a huge money to Andy Ruiz Jr. to face Wilder before the Ruiz/AJ rematch clause, from that, if Wilder wins (and will) against Ruiz, toto joshua wil be forced to take on Wilder if he want to be world champ again.. in a perfect world of course because we know how corrupted the world of boxing (and combat sports in general) is

How would that work? If what wilder says is true that he is signed tonight ortiz already and if fury fight is signed how they gonna fight Ruiz ? Their schedule is full up till atleast mid 2020. Also if theres an immediate rematch clause and Joshua exercises it then wilder's team cant do nothing about it.

AJ is the first to know that he's protected since the beginning of the 2012 Olympic Games and until now, so he has to make a choice now, still doing the same B.S over & over or he decide to prove that he got the heart of a champ by facing Wilder, Fury, Usyk or even pappy Ortiz & Joyce, loses or wins no matters, just stepping into the ring with the best will prove something

2019: 2 L by TKO to Ruiz Jr.
2020: L by KO to Wilder in a couple or round
2020: L by TKO to Fury (after 8 rounds)
