Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua Must Win Ruiz Rematch - It's All or Nothing

Anthony Joshua lost his four heavyweight championship belts to Andy Ruiz Jr in New York, USA, on Saturday night. The Brit knocked his Mexican opponent to the floor after three rounds at Madison Square Garden. But the Destroyer hit back in the same round before flooring AJ two times in the seventh.

      Agreed

This is the biggest fight in hw history for a long long time

      Will Joshua rise back up

He got careless with the glory and let his standards slip

Back to basics and reclaim his throne

Its too late Eddie! You been exposed. Even if you rob Andy in the UK, fans will never forget that they fell for the hype.

Ruiz has just got to box clever again and then when Joshua opens ....good night he knows how to beat Joshua. Joshua hasn't clue of how to beat him. It's a real bad match up for A.J.and too soon after such a mauling.Granted ,with Joshua's punch he's always in with a chance but Ruiz's fast hands and his ability to make Joshua fight going backwards is going to take some massive change in tactics of which I don't think will happen.

I agree, if he bottled it under pressure in the states, he will be even worse in rematch, Ruiz just needs to pressure him and we now know Joshua can't box off the back foot, Joshua and Hearn need to swallow some pride, face facts and if they want Joshua to have any kind of a career going forward avoid Ruiz. It wasnt a hail mary lucky punch that caught him cold, it was a walk down and beating this wont change that much in re match.

If Joshua wins the rematch I will respect it. People keep comparing this to Lewis losses but he didn’t take a sustained beating like what AJ took.

Aj will have to change his strategy dramatically to win the rematch.
