If AJ builds up his win streak again like Pacquiao did in only 3 fights after the Marquez KO it can still sell Hell Chavez Jr was on a 2 fight win streak before the Alvarez fight & it did 1 million purchase 😱 still shocked it didnt flop Till This Day!

The thing with all these other examples, is that both of the fighters were proven commodities in very strong eras within their division. Arguably, every single one would have been bigger, or at least have far more historical significance has the fight occurred without the respective losses.

The Joshua/Wilder fight relies entirely on them both being on a clash course, where they both look to be dominant, with the result being something we wouldn’t have seen before - a catalyst for the division. All of that makes up for the division being very weak, and their opponents being unheard of. No doubt the fight would still be big, but I have no doubt that the super fight is gone. It’s also worth remembering that it was Joshua who was bringing the largest chunk of interest with his phenomenal following. I think it has taken a hit

          Of course it's still a 50/50 fight.

Are we forgetting that Wilder is the least skilled HW champion in the history?

If Joshua connects first and hurt him, Wilder is getting KTFO. Wilder doesn't have the counterpunching abilities of Ruiz, nor can he fight in mid-range and on the inside like Andy which is what won him this fight. Wilder literally has only the right hand. This fight didn't change that.

Joshua is chinny. But we already knew that. So is Wilder.

          It's still a 50/50 fight.

... it wasn't just a "KO loss"... it was a tragedy -- the other guy mopped the fool with him...
