Well it's actually rather close. Had Oscar not been robbed against Mosley and Cheato than I'd definitely say him. However, speaking strictly from a record and accomplishment standpoint it's extremely close. I lean towards Oscar strictly for his accomplishments in more weight classes.

what do you mean as best

Morales cannot compare to de la hoya. Oscar moved up multiple weight divisions and fought the elites of the divisions. Granted oscar didn't win against the elites of his area the fact that he moved up and had the skills to compete with them shows how far above morales he is. Erik is overrated to me he blows up to 155lbs between fights and never moved past 135, shows poor conditioning and skill in the ring as well. Oscar fought mosley, trinidad, and bhop. Morales never moved up and fought chico, castillo, freitas, barrios ,and PBF when he had a chance to.

Wow. If Morales had retired after the first fight with Pacquiao, I would say Morales. At that time, he had one legit loss to Barrera and one B.S. loss to Barrera. De La Hoya had gotten a lot of close decisions and lost a few. I think it will ultimately be DLH though.

naw man, im dead serious. these two are my favorite fighters, n i think its rather close. right now, i'd lead to de la hoya by a slight edge. and im talking about INSIDE the ring, i dont care about in between fights weight n ****, or popularity. cuz if it was whos tha most famous boxer of this era, DE LA HOYA hands down. im talkking bout career, i say its very close.
