Let's not forget that Hatton took on about as tough a guy to move up in weight against as you can imagine. A slick southpaw who is naturally bigger than him- a guy who has fought many fights above welter and at 154. So you really had a Jr Welter fighting a Jr Middle, essentially. And Hatton still won, even though he did look sluggish with the extra weight.
I'm not saying that weight and the southpaw stance weren't an issue but the thing is a guy who has fought his entire career at 140lbs should be able to go 1 weight class up and still be as good at the next weight level. Its hard for me to think of a Elite non-heavyweight fighter who wasn't succesful in the division immediately above his. Thats the knock I have on Tzu who failed to move up when all the superstars were at 147lbs, Quartey, Tito, DLH.

Also fighting PBF at 147lbs should never be an excuse for Hatton because even if he trains as if he were fighting at jrWelterweight he would still enter the ring bigger than Mayweather who didn't gain any weight between weighin and fight time for the Zab fight. At jrWelterweight Hatton was at least 147lbs at fight time and I would wager probably more.

Hatton ususally weighs close to 160lbs after he weighs in at 140 & that gives him a huge size advantage over the Jr Welters. But when he moved to Welter Collazo exposed Hatton as ordinary in the division & Collazo isn't even an elite fighter. Hatton is a solid fighter just not great & better suited for Jr. Welter.

Dumb thread, everybody will see Hattons potential when he adjusts to 147, or moves down.

I'm not even a fan, I just know talent when I see it.

Hatton and Shane Mosley are the only fighters on this earth between 140-154 who can beat Floyd Mayweather.

Hmmmm, and how would Hatton accomplish that? Superior boxing skills, speed, ring generalship display a better d, punching power? How?

No, you silly little prick - I care. I care about having decent threads to read in NSB, and not seeing the place spammed by silly little boys who open their yap before they engage their brain. **** you.

It's WAY too early to make that judgement after one fight... especially after a fight with a southpaw, which Hatton blatantly has trouble with.

Cuts the ring off like no other, works the body like no other, he hits fast and hard for somebody with his style, he has great recovery rate and his chin is good too.

Only downfall is the soft skin above his eyes.

Hell, ****ing Corrales cuts off the ring better than Hatton.

And let's not even mention Castillo or Cotto, who are probably the two best in the sport at it, with the nod going to Castillo.
