How screwed is Matchroom?

They take a hit from this no doubt. The PBC has all 4 heavyweight titles, for now at least, and a crack at AJ was a major bargaining chip for signing heavyweights.

I feel like those HW titles are being counted for PBC a lil too soon, but technically you're right. But to me those titles aren't reallllllllly PBC's til Ruiz is out of this Matchroom contract & is still holding all 3 belts.

And I'm also kinda thinking there is gonna be some stripping going on with this rematch clause. The IBF loves to strip titles & idk if there has been an IBF mando in a minute or not. And Arum is in good with the WBO so I wouldn't be surprised if he's making calls & we'll have Fury vs Pulev for the vacant WBO belt or some wild sh^t like that go down soon. Idk, but I know sh^t went south real quick when Fury upset the applecart last time around so maybe I'm just having bad flashbacks lol.

They'll still be GBP. And they'll still have guys on the rise. And they'll still get bigger names cuz of their connections.

Same deal with Matchroom. What was Matchroom before Joshua. They were still relevant. They'll still be relevant without Joshua.

The biggest problem is Matchroom USA, not Matchroom overall, which seemingly had a ball sitting on a tee with this Joshua project in the US. Now they are the Devin Haney show & maybe Joshua holes up back in the UK for the rest of his days.

AJ and Matchroom will be fine as their fanbase is theirs. This "breaking through in America" stuff though, she's over.

Good point. It’s not only AJ, but also Jacobs loosing to Canelo. Jacobs was suppose to be an American icon for Matchroom.
