How Many Title Defenses will Andy Ruiz have?

I think Ruiz has solid boxing skills, good power, is hungry and has the 'killer instinct.' He seized the opportunity against Joshua and now he's atop the heavyweight division. He deserves a lot of credit.

That said, I'm not overly impressed by Andy Ruiz. He's got fast hands, throws great combinations but he seems to be an easy target and his conditioning has always been suspect.

So, does anyone think that Ruiz will have a long reign as HW champion?

Many if they are smart. Mexican-Americans and beyond are going to love this guy. This guy has the potential to be the biggest draw in the game.

He will probably lose the rematch, to be honest.

But if he manages to beat Joshua again, I don't see him beating Fury or Wilder if those fights ever happened.

I can see him beating AJ again and WilDer, i dont think he beats Fury, Fury style is all bad for him long range boxing would keep him at bay all night

        Either way War Ruiz!!!!!

Definitely not a long reign outlook for Ruiz. I'm putting the over/under at 2.5 defenses. And I think the Joshua immediate rematch is a very favorable 1st defense for him.

This guy has had mental issues in the past. He's not boxed for a year for no good reason. He's fought as high as 290lbs & he was damn near 270lbs last night. This is not a good guy to pin your hopes on long term.

It'd be a cool story if I was wrong & he did become some long reigning HW champion & beat Wilder & Fury in the coming years, but I just can't rationally see that happening with this cat. This fight I feel like is gonna be the Buster KOing Tyson moment of his career & its all downhill from here outside of some sexy looking checks here & there & being more known then if he'd not beaten Joshua for the rest of his days.

Realistically any of the giants should be keeping him at bay with a stiff jab. Lord knows wtf Joshua was thinking. Joshua should have pot shotted from range. Wilder will flings jabs and right hands and never engage at close range. Fury is a different animal all together and will do whatever the f uck he wants. Theyve got such a significant length advantage this shouldnt have happened with someone as skilled as Joshua who has admittedly been veeeery inconsistent vs shorter men.

But who knows. He’s a new wildcard at this point til he loses it all. Good for him. Imagine him beating AJ again and then wilder then we see him vs fury in the least aesthetic bout between two men of all time

I think zero defenses.Sometime during his celebrations I see him getting k o d by an all night Chinese all you can eat buffet with one of his intestines exploding and ending his story book rise.

I have doubts about his ability to take Wilder's right hand and equally about handling Fury's long armed style. There are some contenders that could be too much for him but hell, he should savor every moment because he is a good guy and regardless, by the end of his fight title defense, he will be a multimillionaire and that is pretty damn good.

I think he will win the rematch so that is one defense. Then he will have another defense so that would be 2 defenses. If he wins that fight he will have another defense so that would be 3 defenses. I don't see how zero defenses is possible and on the poll. He is not going to give up the title without defending it. I guess he will have 5 defenses but it depends on who he fights of course. I think he has a chance to beat anyone fighting today. Nobody fighting today impresses me that much. They all have flaws and he might beat any of them. Right now I think Wilder is the best and will KO Fury if they fight again. Fury will win if it goes the distance but I think Wilder will KO him. Wilder probably KOs Ruiz but Ruiz is dangerous, smart and tough. He has fast hands and can punch.

I don't understand how zero defenses is even on the poll. The question is how many title defenses does Ruiz have not how many defenses he wins. So even if he loses to AJ in the rematch he still made 1 defense of his title, did he not? Fury might beat him by staying outside but if he can get close he might hurt Fury just as he hurt AJ and finished him. I don't think Fury can hurt the tank. Wilder will probably KO him since Wilder has really perfected his lightning right hand and at age 33 looks better than ever with the devastating KO of Breazeale.
