Why would it take him over 4 rounds to recover?

Anyway they will need the rematch in UK and for BBBOC to give him a friendly ref like against Parker and Takam and maybe he will win a rematch

His technique was poor. Watch where his left hand was a lot of the time. His jab was often half hearted and had no snap. He just waded in when he though Ruiz was hurt instead of testing him from the outside first to see how he responded. Overall a poor performance from Joshua before the knockdown.

What do you think he could do differently next time? I don’t see him having the stamina to fight off the backfoot and jab all night. What I would suggest to him is to drop about 20 pounds of muscle.

Joshua has said for a while now he doesn't like fighting shorter fighter's.

It doesn't show good tactical progress on him or his trainer to have not addressed this better. Miller was roughly as short so they had all the time in the world to train for a guy a few inches shorter, not to mention the Povetkin fight.

AJ had two sparring rings in Miami and says he tends to use the smaller one and focuses on toe to toe close inside fighting. Why stick on the inside when your feet are quicker and range longer?

He said he ducks lower for shorter fighters. Why nullify your strengths? Stand tall, use your range, make them work and come to you.

Pretty obvious basic foundations, how is his team not training that? Add to this, his head movement is at times further inviting getting hit.

I see you attended the Hectari (aka Hectardo the r e t a r d o) school for special kids. Follow the game plan and knock him out with that Jab, Brandon Rios style. Don't forget to feed Ruiz bad stew the night before the fight

All kidding aside I don't believe AJ has it in him to fight a complete discipline fight for twelve rounds. He might be able to win the first couple of rounds but if he doesn't hurt or puts Ruiz away he'll eventually start to get sloppy mid fight. That gas tank of his is no bueno

                    End of story.
What boxing planet have you been living at these last years?

Ruiz fought Parker for the vacant WBO belt in late 2016, which means he must have been top ranked by the WBO at the time. Many thought Ruiz should have won that fight, but Parker got a close decision at home. Had he won it he would have fought Joshua much earlier, instead of Parker.

Following his loss he was inactive for so long he disappeared from the rankings.

Before last night he was ranked as #5 by the WBA, #15 by the IBF and #11 by the WBO, following his late april win. Thus, he was ranked in the top 15 by all the three major sanctioning bodies that let him fight for their belt.

Not remotely interested in Sanctioning Bodies pathetic rankings.

Ruiz was not ranked in the Top 10 in any overall ranking system such as The Ring, ESPN, TBRB etc. That's a FACT.

Not ranked in the Top 10 and a 40-1 underdog.

                      So shut the fuck up.
