Weird performance from AJ. He has the look of someone who's not a natural boxer but being told and trained to be, when it might well infact be better for him to be a bit more Wilder-esqe and just go hell for leather a bit more.
I got the impression last night that he was just caught in two minds as to whether he should swing hard and wild or box behind the jab, ultimately failing to do either and subsequently coming off worse in every exchange.
Really can't be arsed with this AJ/Wilder fan boy crap, why are there so many morons so intent on making it an argument who should earn more? Who gives a f***? It's still as good a fight as it always was, it should still get made...
AJ got a good hiding and the better man won.Comment

Wilder and Ortiz would kill AJ. No wonder he ducked both. We can't really blame him. He can't even go 8 rounds with Ruiz.Comment

I agree but sometimes it's also about HOW you lose too.
I mean getting KD 4 times and basically quiting, man.. that's not a good look.
If he loses in that fashion again. Retirement should be on the table. Which is ironic given what he's said about Wilder an Fury being close to done.
it's like AJ was ignoring the fact that he's like 30 himself, we seem to think that's still a spring chicken in this era.Comment

I was shocked and not shocked. More annoyed that I didn't take a punt on Ruiz.
Joshua was EXPOSED - big time!
More I'm laughing at the networks and promoters marinating gone wrong. Trying to build Joshua/Wilder into a Floyd/PAC fight and now they lost that.
yeah - Ruiz - Wilder has some intrigue ... but not much. The HW division just deflated big time.
BTW - ZERO chance that Fury fights Joshua now. The only thing I see that Ruiz has on Fury is a better chin so Eddie will stay well clear.Comment

Keep telling myself that? Have you read my previous posts about Joshua? ( decent power, little stamina, suspect chin) If you thought otherwise you do not know the game. It's called watching fights and picking out tendencies. The guy was an overrated stiff waiting to get knocked out. Typical british heavyweight just like Frank Bruno. The exception is Fury. He has balls because he is a whack job! Mentall illness tends to do that!Comment

Karma !!!!
hahaha the best part is reading the comments before the fight and how everyone was writing off Ruiz and making fun of him, and proved all you b1tchez wrong...karma ydiots. Oh and the Brits should STFU , European level is differnet than American level.Comment

Lol, I mean, Ruiz does kinda remind me of Arreola a little bit, so I was making fun of him too.Comment

Maybe more a short/small reality check? What's been gained can possibly be lost at the least expected moment, even moments when you're a 25-1 favorite? I'm sure it's something top fighters are well aware of, but even so, witnessing it at this extreme is probably very sobering to top fighters regardless of home country?Comment
