I'm really happy for Ruiz, he exposed the biggest con merchant in Eddie Hearn and beat the hell out of the Nigerian Robot.

      Well played Eddie.
It's a nice story .... even faintly plausible. But hearn wouldn't sacrifice the UK pride like that. It was all wrapped up in AJ. They are crushed and no, that wasn't the play.

They wanted AJ to be the 2nd coming of Ali. Except greater ...

      • Let’s talk about the extra time AJ got after that 4th and final knock down. He got knocked down with 1:59 remaining, the refs count to 8 ended at 1:49, the fight was finally called at 1:34 remaining. The point is the ref gave him an additional 15 seconds. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal BUT everyone went nuts when fury got his “11” count against wilder. I have no doubt AJ was concussed early on and never recovered. His actions after the fight was bizarre.

it doesn't matter that AJ is a better boxer than Wilder..... the question was, is he a good enough boxer to avoid getting hit with betsy all night long?

He looked very lethargic even before the fight during the anthems. He looked like he was almost in a trance standing in the corner. I kinda assumed that he was just a little annoyed at three different anthems being played. I know I would be. If he was in MIA a couple weeks, wonder if the heat and humidity affected his ability to train as hard as he’d like. When I was in London, the locals over there told me that if it gets to about 25C over there, it’s like a freaking heatwave. That’s only about 80F. 80 in MIA is almost like a relief. And we just had a major heatwave in the Southeast the last week or two. Here in TN, we were creeping up on triple digit heat indexes everyday for 10+ days straight. So I can only imagine how hot it was in MIA. That could also have been tough on a guy that’s not used to hot weather.
I mean there are so many factors. IVe travelled a bunch. Sweated like hell in Singapore and I’m not a sweater but body adapted in a few days. Sum guys I know sweat all the time in their hometown. Sum guys are 6’5” like Joshua, heat won’t affect that. What I’m trying to say is yes it’s tough to travel and fight, the history shows that. But if ur the champ maybe u shoulda travelled at sum point to get experience at it. People travel to fight AJ in uk. So if it’s a benefit to fight at home they milked it and that’s fine. But if him travelling was a real negative on him, that means they never prepared him the best they could to win overseas. Basically means he was protected. All the people who travelled to fight AJ weren’t at their best either then. So that can’t help him prepare for a fight in the USA either. It did make him a lot of money and hype winning in the uk. But it didn’t help him evolve and learn as a fighter. If travelling is harder then it’s worth experiencing. If u became the champ dragging people to the UK and then fighting outside the uk for the first time is a huge factor that’s on you. Makes all your uk wins less then.

                • You gotta admire Ruiz for his heart, especially in the 3rd round, great performance, bet Wilder is kicking himself should have put more pressure on his team.

No kidding man. That whole thing was shady as a mofo. That needs to be discussed. You could even see Andy raise his hands the one time, not in jubilation, but saying "what the F is up with that long count!"

That really does need to be discussed.

You were straight up bashing him and the proof is how surprised you were in you comments when Ruiz actually started winning the fight. But anyway keep judging men's appearances u f@g because a fat person won the belts tonight!
Please, bring up these quotes from me bashing Ruiz's skills or his inability to box, I'll wait.

Saying he is fat isn't judging him, it's stating a FACT. It's sad you're so emotional over me stating a fact that a fat guy is fat. It's even sadder how much of a groupie you are but it's your life. You can hang from his nuts as much as you like. Ruiz calls himself fat, you should go whine to him. I'll bet you're fat as well which is why you're crying. It's ok fat girl, Ruiz won, be happy.
