He spit out cap after taking a knee, he went to corner without taking it expecting UK referring and a 1 minute break, and answered to referee 'Yeah, yeah' peeling back on the corner with hands on the ropes.

HE QUIT! Fighter must show himself ready to fight after KD, I have seen referees stop the fight of much readier opponents, ironically: Takam vs AJ or maybe even Klit vs AJ, at least Klit didn't put his hands down on the rope smh.

      • As much as I'm happy to see that ROBOTIC STIFF style get put away by the much better BOXER , I also observed in the 7th, when the ref asked joshua "you ready to box?," Joshua nodded ever so slightly while answering the ref "yes." Joshua wouldve ended up getting FLOORED NUMEROUS MORE TIMES leading up to the potential KO!! But he didn't quit....He still needs to take that ROBOTIC STIFF style where it came from!! Wilder wouldve demolished it in 3 - at the most! Tonight(?) the more versatile boxer dismantled that muscle laden style! In my UK accent: Oh dear, I do hope pretty boy Josh can make his photo shoot in the morning! Hearn will have to set his alarm! LOLOLOL!!!!

Ruiz is a Haymon guy so I wonder if the unification will be easier to make now.
The fights are still big ... and getting bigger at this rate. It's a myth that everyone or anyone HAS to be undefeated fir these fights to draw. The matchups have plenty of other intrigue .... this changes things a bit, but big and bigger fights are everywhere in the HW division.

              • Man, I can't recall being so wrong with my prediction during my fifty plus- years in boxing.
I thought Joshua was gonna go all the way but you just have to be a sportsman and give Ruiz all the credit he deserves.

At the end of the day AJ is just not as good as advertised and most people that know boxing thought Wilder was going to KO AJ anyway..I think the fight would have done 1m buys here in the US maybe even a little less. There were barely any US fans at the fight tonight, nearly all Brits.
I thought that it was an intriguing fight if they kept on winning and met. Now AJ got exposed. Unless he gets a legit run he will fall back in the ranks.

I say no shame in losing if you can come back, boxing is the theater of the unknown
