that was pretty much given that someone was gonna get ko in that fight, whether it was him or manny. so he was just saying that and then got lucky it happened. pac also said he was going for the ko to end all doubts. that 4th fight wasnt gonna end in a decision and everyone knew that ahead of the fight so marquez saying he was gonna ko manny and then he did doesnt really mean much because like i said that part was given that it was gonna happen, a ko was gonna happen.

Yes JMM is very competitive with pac. It was a close 2-1-1 fight in favor of pac.

What does Marquez do that troubles Manny so much and can Keith Thurman replicate it?
Marquez was an outstanding fighter (56-7-1), so he was a nightmare for lots of fighters besides Pac. As s great counter puncher, his style was perfect for an aggressive fighter like Pac and for Pac's promoters to give Marquez 4 shots at the apple was lunacy.
As far as losing to Bradley, JMM was 40 and fighting at WW, where his career record was a dismal 2-3 (after losing his debute fight, JMM went 42-1 before his draw with Pac at 130).

I'm not sure I could describe it as a lucky punch. I could point out at least 20 solid right hands that JMM landed against Manny throughout their fights. That 1st shocking knockdown was also a right hand. Those right hands were more like Sucker Punches. JMM perfectly set them up. By their 4th fight, JMM already knew where Manny's head was gonna be and somehow Manny still blindly followed JMM's clockwise movement just to land his own left hand. That's why he kept eating right hands as consequences.

You can make a case that JMM may have juiced up in that 4th fight but I don't believe it was a lucky punch. Throughout their 3 fights, JMM knew how to make Manny eat his right hand. He just didn't have enough power to put him down.

Stop crying, simply you don't know sh.it about boxing. Manny never outboxed Márquez.

Because Pac is the one fighter jmm trained for obsessively. Like Pac was his meal ticket to greatness, and jmm didn't need to fight and beat any other greats.
              Pac s all he wanted

                - -PAC knocks down JMM 5x in first two fights, so you got the problem?

Now the last two fights against the recharged BALCO Juan , yeah, problematic !

styles make fights, man. if you're off to the side and you slip your way in past shots it's literally impossible to miss a southpaw with a right hand counter. marquez let manny come to him!

pacquiao, particularly in '04 and '08, fought in straight lines when he attacked. he really was a north / south fighter in '04 when marquez was able to win many rounds off of him in spite of being knocked down three times in the first. marquez adjusted to the timing [and manny slowed down a bit,] and he was able to reduce the tempo of the fight into something he could manage and rounds he could win.

The fact that JMM had to roid out like crazy and still needed a Once in the lifetime KO to win tells you everything.
