I won't disagree. They are playing chess while the angry nationalistic fans and stans argue like its checkers. This is more DAZN vs Showtime than it is Wilder versus Joshua.

Hearn says he "knew" Wilder was fighting Ortiz next yet he had him fighter intentionally out on TV talking about fighting Wilder next. 2020 has been the target all along.

Lol... My gosh this guy just doesn’t stop posturing. What’s telling is Hearn cares more about perceptions of who is ducking than the fight not happening. Either way Joshua just gave an interview saying the fight wouldn’t happen until 2020 so who is he fooling.

Bottom line is I wish the damn fight was happening now, but in this case I understand why. And Ortiz vs Wilder is the best rematch that could be made in boxing outside of Fury vs Wilder.

It’s a no brainer that there is big money in the Ortiz rematch for Showtime. And they are going to be extra slow to provide a big fight bail out for Hearn and DAZN.

Hearn should of took the damn fight when he was the A Side. Now that PPV money is on the line for the network the fight just became even more challenging to make. But the good news is Ortiz and Wilder should be another dope fight.

Stop it eddie. You made Joshua shut up after the 50 million guarantee then said King Kong's name but didn't want to pay King Kong for a fight & you guys keep talking about D.Wilder when aj has a fight lined..looks like you & aj clout chasing.

I've said the same for at least 2 years. Wilder has never wanted the fight, he wants people to think he wants the fight to save face.

What are you talking about? Wilder doesn't have to beat anybody else to guarantee himself a 50/50 purse split. He's a bigger name than AJ and by the time they fight he will be even bigger. The U.S. is a bigger market and both sides know this. No way does Wilder accept less than 50%, even if they fight next week.

If he beats Ortiz and Fury in the rematches he should get 60%

Quit begging man! At least Wilder is being forthright and honest about not fighting Joshua this year. He let it known to the whole world that that is a fight that he is not interested in at the moment.

That's more than I can say about AJ and his team when they strung Wilder along for several months in 2018 pretending like they really wanted the fight but didn't. It was all a big scam. So just move on with the rest of your career man and get over it; Damn!

Wilder is not getting more than 40% today, and if he loses before he fights Joshua, he can cancel that too!

Yeah, but he has one belt, and AJ has 3! We know Ortiz and Fury are better wins, but neither has a belt. Honestly, I was hoping Ortiz fought Kownacki, and then Wilder fought the winner! That would've been better!
