As much as the side-of-the-mouth talking brit annoys, he is right. Cant wait to hear what excuses Wilder fans come up with, because NOBODY should want to see this fight next because Wilder knocked out Ortiz last time, and even moreso because its on ppv. Add to the fact that Joshua's fight is only a few weeks after Wilder's last fight means theyd both be ready for a unification next. Sad state of affairs in the heavyweight division; which used to be the "glamour" divison; which brought casuals flocking to the sport; which brought HUGE attention to boxing; which made boxing the talk on sports networks.....now its just a niche sport, overlooked, and has a losing interest among the general public.

If you know he doesnt want the fight all along, then why are you dry begging at every turn for him to take the fight...wouldn't it be easier to just put him aside and focus on the guys you believe really want to fight.

I see Wilder blasting out Ortiz with less trouble than the first time. Ortiz hasn't really looked all that good since that fight and he hisnonly other impressive win was the Jennings stoppage. I think Ortiz is skilled and still has pop but he's old and slowing down.
I like Kownacki but he's tailor made for Wilder. Unless he has a chin of granite (and I doubt that since he got his bell rung by Charles Martin), Wilder will land a bomb between Kownacki's punches and stop him.
It's a shame we won't see AJ and Wilder for a while as it's going to be a little while before the next crop of prospects are ready (Ajagba, Hrgovic, etc).

Lord Haymon will hold onto that WBC belt for dear life.
Wilder himself said he likes “low risk/reward” fights. Even a guaranteed $100 million couldn’t get him in the ring.
Will they take off the upper deck tarp for his next fight?
