We will never know because it will be so low that they don't officially release the numbers. Just like the Fury Wilder fight, someone will say that it was "about 325k" or so and people will take it as gospel even though Showtime never confirmed it. De la Hoya did the same thing when Canelo's numbers were not that good against Smith and Khan. Someone conveniently leaked the numbers but they were never confirmed. Also the fight purse for the Wilder vs Breazeale fight was never released because they knew they would get clowned because Wilder turned down 20 million to make the fight be on DAZN.

I'm probably preaching to the choir but I would encourage everyone NOT TO BUY IT even if you are curious or tempted to.

Don't let them get away with this sh i * t. The only way we can make them pay is by not paying ourselves.

Viewing numbers it was a one round fight so people didn't really have time to tune in in over the course of a longer fight so while they are a bit lower than 1 million peak they are normal and likely would have been better had the fight lasted 4 or 5 rounds so means very little. Numbers without context are meaningless~

Less tickets well Breazeale is not that appealing of a fight and the fight sold just fine at the box office compared to pretty much every other American fighter who could not hope to sniff gate numbers like that against a cat like Breazeale.

So yea his star is still rising, because he got the highlight from the fight he needed and all anyone who watched the fight before or after talked about was the guy impressively laid out on the canvas. Don't talk about stuff you don't get.

Fight fans should boycott paying for this fight and just catch a stream if they want to view it.

Same with Fury's latest farce. We shouldn't pay for the fights we don't want to see.

So people tune in late because? What? They're not boxing fans and don't care, maybe?

I get it fine. It's just others who want to convince us that Wilder is a star that are finding it difficult to come to terms with.

Maybe if he sells even less tickets next time while losing another 100-200,000 viewers his star will have hit another peak into stardom. You never know, maybe at least one person recognises him after that and then it's game on. 75-25 his way against Joshua. You know it makes sense. AJ could never come close to that level of star power selling out his little stadiums on that little Island.

I'd be shocked if it sells more than 80k.

Wilder Ortiz 2 has more US PPV Buys than AJ vs Ruiz gets US Dazn views.
